I came from Los Angeles to explore San Diego which itself a beautiful city to explore and guess what I recently had the pleasure of visiting “The Aromas of India” with my family and I must say it was an unforgettable experience where technology and royalty mets together from the moment we stepped in, the ambiance set the tone for what would be an extraordinary interiors exude elegance and feels like a wow with a fine-dining vibe complemented by aesthetic details that make the space feel truly luxurious. The interiors are a perfect blend of royalty and modern aesthetics, making you feel like you’ve entered a fine-dining palace. The food was absolutely delightful a perfect mix of Indian, Indo-Chinese, South Indian cuisine and fast-food delicacies. Each dish we tried, from the crispy samosas to the flavorful Indo-Chinese was cooked to perfection and bursting with authentic flavors that straight away took me to the homeland Mumbai 🚩🧡 What truly stood out was the unique futuristic touch – the robot that served us water and menus added an exciting element. The bar area was elegant, and the overall vibe of the restaurant was nothing short of luxurious. The staff deserves a special mention for attending us so quick that each table has been inserted a “Silent Notifier Button” and just pressing that notifies server that we want something without raising hand or calling someone to assist. The server’s were impeccably dressed in professional uniforms, extremely courteous, and attentive to every detail, making us feel welcomed and valued. A heartfelt thank you to the team behind this amazing restaurant for creating such a memorable experience. I highly recommend to anyone looking for great food, excellent service, and a one of a kind ambiance. This place is a gem, and I’m sure it’s going to be the talk of the...
Read moreThe sevice lacked but the food tasted good. It was if me and my guest were a bother to the staff to assist midday Saturday for lunch.
1.)I asked to sit at the open bar and was told that would be ok. After sitting down another employee came and dismissively told us we could not sit at the bar and demanded we sit at a table.
2.)We also thought about leaving before ordering because the servers did not come to take our order. It was no that busy and it seemed like we were bothersome to serve.
3.) After seeing debris floating in the poured glass of water I asked, without sharing details about the floating debris, for a bottle of water for my guest and I. To my surprise the waiters brought two room temperature 16 oz. plastic bottles of water and left the two undrank poured glasses of tap water on the table for the duration of our meal. I would prefer cold water and that the water be poured in a new glass vs forcing me to drink out of a plastic bottle at a restaurant. 3.) The chef came out yesterday inquire how we liked the food and was engaging. He was the most friendly out of everyone we spoke to. 4.) When the restaurant opened they promoted a $10 off $40 purchase coupon which I brought with me. The waiter, upon paying, stated he had no idea what I was talking about advising me they had no coupons. I pulled up the restaurants Instagram coupon to show the waiter and it was only then that they honored the coupon.
As you can see, my experience was not very pleasant which is really unfortunate. I LOVE to support small business but feel torn in this case because I loved the food but did not enjoy the service. I believe I will give them a second chance and hope to have a...

We tried some dishes we had never heard of before. Aromas did not disappoint by providing a fresh, friendly, fun, and delicious opportunity to experience Dosas, Saag (sans paneer and sans cooking), and Chicken Tikka (sans Marsala - sauce was provided, but it was to the side).
Some standouts: It was fresh, the veggies were the best part. Very attentive service. Unique atmosphere, modern style meets somewhat strange Nepal surrealism.
I did not like the utensils provided, especially the strangely thin handles and oddly short knife blade. My wife loved the utensils, I found them very annoying. The chicken tikka was presented hot, but the Marsala provided to the side was very tepid, almost cold. I did not enjoy the coolness sauce - I think it may have been sat aside our prepared long before it was served to us. The rest was all served at fantastic temps, but the Marsala was not enjoyable at the cool temp. The spice was also lacking - I love spice, but no questions were asked about preferred spice level and it appears they assumed everyone in La Mesa does not like it very much. Borderline bland, but still fresh tasting and delicious. The wait staff was very responsive, but asked us if everything was alright much too often (about every five minutes). They need to chill a little, but otherwise they were very friendly...
