Himalayan Cuisine La Mesa, California
Occasionally, we love to go out and dine at one of our favorite restaurants. We love to eat different types of foods. One type is Himalayan and Indian Food. We always have a great experience here, and the service is always great. The staff are friendly and informative, and the food comes put quickly. The restaurant itself is large with plenty of seating and is beautifully decorated.

Read moreI am always on the hunt for a good goat curry, and I think I finally found the one I will be sticking with. The goat curry at Himalayan Cuisine is packed with flavor, with just the right amount of heat. The meat was fall-apart tender and clearly cooked low and slow in a rich, spiced gravy that tasted homemade. There were no shortcuts here. The spices were bold, but not overwhelming, and every bite had that deep, comforting flavor you only get from traditional cooking.
I ordered it with a side of rice and garlic naan, which balanced it out perfectly. The service was wonderful too. They gave me just the right amount of attention and even asked if I wanted my spice level adjusted. That level of customization and care is rare these days. If you are looking for something hearty and satisfying, this is the dish for you. What really stood out was the service. The staff was attentive and helpful without rushing us. They explained the dishes to those in our group who had never had Nepali or Indian food before and made sure everyone found something they liked. You can tell this is a restaurant that values hospitality and quality equally.
Himalayan Cuisine in La Mesa has become my go-to spot for bold, comforting food and a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone who wants an authentic and...
Read moreFantastic food, awful service. We never had a one, single server, but ended up having to call whoever was around when we had been waiting for too long. One guy in particular, who said his name was Daoah or something along those lines, was absolutely the rudest server I've ever had in my life. When we'd been waiting a half hour for refills, I tried to wave at him since he didn't look preoccupied. He shouted out the most sarcastic, rude sounding "yeah" I've ever heard. When I asked for more to drink, he told me to "hang on" and straight up walked away to find someone else to take our orders. When I asked for his name, he refused to give it to me at first and laughed at me, asking why I needed it. The entire experience with him just felt like he didn't care or didn't want to be working there. So I sure hope he or his manager sees this review, so that he won't be working there for much longer. Poor guy obviously needs a break đ Aside from that, like I said, the food is amazing and more than made up for that guy's nasty attitude. We'll probably go back again for it! I highly recommend the lamb tikka masala and the chicken momo, definitely worth the...
