Today I visited the Costco in La Mesa, California. The first thing I noticed when I pulled into the parking lot was the Elite security directing traffic. It was much busier than a typical Saturday afternoon, but surprisingly smooth. I found a parking spot immediately and proceeded to the door. As I approached the front we were greeted by very friendly faced women with disinfecting wipes and smiles. They were wiping down carts and handing them out to customers entering the store. I looked to my left and saw two other representatives wiping down the tables in the food court, the condiment area, and the soda machines. I walked into the store and started to make my round. The shelves and freezers were stocked, the floors and surfaces were clean, and the representatives inside were also wiping off handles to freezer doors. The store was crowded in certain areas, but seemed to be an organized busy. I made my way to the front of the store with my Costco haul to wait in what i assumed would be a long line. When I reached the front of the warehouse I was completely taken aback! Not only was there not going to be a long wait--there was not going to be a wait at all. I saw cashiers disinfecting the conveyor belts and assisting customers with their large items. I heard someone say "what's the status of the carts?" I looked to the right and saw a young man on a walkie talkie checking stats and assigning duties to employees. I walked over to him and told him how impressed I was with the amount of organization and diligence that went into the experience that I had today. He smiled a great big smile and said "thank you." I ended up speaking to the store manager Kathleen. She was a lovely woman. The La Mesa Costco team is amazing. The amount of preparation and hard work that went into my experience today was astounding. They were running like a well oiled machine. It felt like a brilliantly orchastred event. My entire experience today was not only note worthy, but truly magical. From the Elite staff directing traffic to my very-berry sundae at the end of my shopping: reminded me of a trip to an adult Disneyland. The tram at the La Mesa Costco exemplifies excellent customer service, and are the embodiment of quality...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf there was a 0 stars option I would pick it. Usually I go to Costco expecting the best costumer service due to all my past experiences. However, I was extremely disappointed at the horrible experience I had today. When heading out, like always, I gave my receipt to the worker who was extremely disrespectful in how he handled his job. Cory without any respect started grabbing my items and placing them on the floor for him āto be able to see everythingā as he said. This behavior was not only unprofessional but also made me feel like I was being accused of stealing which is incredibly insulting. That was an absolute horrible way to treat your costumers whoāve been coming to Costco for more than 15 years. I would have gladly moved my items myself or shown him all the items but the way he just moved everything was very rude. After leaving I saw how he was treating other people. The disrespect he gave us was not shown anymore. So either this disrespect came out of looks or just a personality thing because Iām not white. After speaking with the supervisor, he did not do anything about the situation. Iām extremely disappointed with my experience at Costco. Iāve always found customer service at this store great until now. I donāt advise anyone to go to this location because of the horrible service. I had many pervious people tell me how horrible this location was and in fact that was proven today. Based on how management handled (or ignored) the situation, I donāt expect anything to change so I suggest you save yourself the frustration and go to a different location.
Also I was to add that I saw many surprised faces walking out after seeing some people getting treated this way. I was to say that some people may not say anything about the situation but I know they know itās extremely rude and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSoo, it was a Monday afternoon. Iād just finished working out at the gym. I returned home and told my good pal āHey man, lets go to Costco!ā He agreed and so we went - to Costco. Then it was 1985 and we arrived. So, weāre grabbing the items that we needed and there it was. It wasnāt on the list, but we had to stop. It was standing there looking upon us. We stopped and wondered what it would be like. I asked him if we should get it or not. However, he was undecided and responded āI donāt know man, itās up to you.ā I was stunned!! I didnāt expect it to come to this, this was one of the biggest decisions of my day. Then, I made THE DECISION. Then I thought about what Russell Westbrook would have to say about, āwhy not me?ā So, I decided we were buying it! It was a difficult decision, but leaders (like myself) have to make critical decisions like these every day. Today was my day! So we paid for our products, packed them in the trunk, and cruised our way down the 8 freeway. Home was approximately 15 minutes away, so we played some fire š„š„š„ on the aux (I would tell yāall which songs, but that would be too much for yāall to handle).
Four hours later. We had finished meal prepping for the week and the time was NOW. I preheated the oven to 4hunnid degreees and proceeded to wait. I placed it in the oven and proceeded to wait, again. I scooped some vanilla ice cream onto a plastic plate (Iām too lazy to wash dishes) and then it was THE TIME. I removed it from the oven and placed it onto my plate. THEN, I ate my first bite (80/20 split, less ice cream). And I must say, it was ONE OF THE BEST APPLE...
