King's BBQ — Restaurant in La Porte

If I could give this place a zero star I would first I returned my wings and told them I wanted the lemon pepper wings instead of the fried wings which I thought when I asked for the fried wings that they would at least add batter however they didn’t it look like they just deep fried the wings bare without any batter if that wasn’t enough when I returned the wings to add a flavor all they did was REdeep fry my wings again then add lemon pepper sauce🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️ my plate was full of grease and seasoning…the only reason I stopped at this location was because I went to the beach down the street but I will never return to this location and that was the very last time they would get any money from my purse again!!! Anyone reading this review don’t even waste your time nor your money at this knock off Pappas BBQ place. I wish I would’ve taken a picture of the trash they called food they served me. Maybe if I was Mexican they would’ve fixed my wings right since that’s all the ladies was speaking when I drove up the lady that took my order couldn’t speak proper English it was telling my toddler to cook my order...

I ordered a turkey SANDWICH. I requested sandwich bread instead of a hamburger bun. My order was an online to go order so when I got back to my office I opened the bag and I had a to go box with 6 small slices of turkey and ice cold french fries. There was NO bread of any type in the bag. I called the Laporte store and advised that I ordered a sandwich and didn't get a sandwich. She said because I requested sandwich bread and they didn't have any. I told her I wanted a sandwich so if the bun was all they had I would have taken it had they told me upon pickup. She advised she was just the cashier and basically, oh well. This was my first time eating here and likely my last. This is completely unacceptable. I wasted $17.60 on a lunch I can't even eat because the fries are inedible and well, the turkey was chewy and squeaky. I will gladly bring it back when I get off work for a refund. Was excited to try this out. Walked in and it is a really cool looking restaurant. My wife ordered ribs and pulled pork, I ordered brisket and chicken. We both ordered sides. The ranch potatoes and green beans were good, zucchini and squash were strictly average. The ribs were so overcooked that they had to support the bottom of the meat so that it wouldn’t fall off of the bone. No flavor. Pulled pork was dry. Brisket was dry and lacked flavor, and the chicken was dry and overcooked. We elected not to eat the meat due to how dry it was.

There were multiple staff playing on their phones while a table sat with dishes all over it the entire time we sat and ate. Not once were we greeted at the table even after leaving a 20% tip. To top it all off my wife and I have upset stomachs after making it home. We will not...
