El Pollo Loco — Restaurant in La Puente

Rude, disrespectful employees and one of the dirtiest and least taken care of el pollo locos around. Dirty tables like no one has been cleaning at all for the day.

Went for lunch Tuesday, 3/25 around 1:30PM. Ordered a family meal and two drinks at the kiosk.

Unfortunately, the soda vending machine was out of service. Went up to the counter to let them know and that I can’t get drinks I paid for. Woman behind the counter just responds “okay.” You can at least ask me what I want from the machine I know you have in the back for drive through orders, nope, just an okay.

Ask for a refund. She proceeds to give use the dirtiest look and reluctantly gives us a refund. What a horrible attitude and service. Your machine is broken, you can at least offer an alternative, refund, or put a sign on the kiosk saying it’s out of service, but nope, just horrible training and attitude from one woman who shouldn’t be in the service industry.

Food is fine for what you expect from el pollo loco, but a horrible employee can ruin your overall experience....

My favorite fast food chicken as it doesnt taste like fast food. However I will not be coming back to This location any more for the following reasons. My last drive thru experience was far from okay. I was given old/expired salsa and they forgot to give me my debit card back. Yes, to some extend it's my fault for being on the phone & not paying attention making sure my card was returned. I go back the following day when I realized I am missing my card to my surprise they don't have it. I pointed at the girl who helped me & she sure didn't want to see my face. I know I left my card there and the girl whom helped me neglected to turn in to management. Glad my bank offers card block and now after reporting my card stolen the new one...

This El Pollo Loco very small. It draws a big crowd from the area but, the drive thru is very small and in very bad shape. Ground is cracking, they had sprinkler leak, the turn is very bad there. You can see the curb cracked and chipped because of how many people hit it. The window to get your food is a small glass window. Even the workers struggle to hand you your order and then they drop your change and forget about getting it cause you can't even open your door. Food is decent and prices are good. $5 combos a bargain especially in this economy. You might want to park and go in to order at this location. They have 2 some fountains inside and restroom was not in bad shape considering how many people...
