My visit to Pollo Loco in La Quinta, CA was nothing short of a profound disappointment. I cannot emphasize enough how terrible the service was. Waiting a seemingly endless 25 minutes in the drive-thru for a simple order is nothing short of infuriating. To make matters worse, their drive-thru line caused complete chaos in the parking lot.
Cars were backed up, honking their horns, and frustration permeated the atmosphere. The pinnacle of frustration was when it became painfully apparent that the employee had forgotten my order at the drive-thru speaker. This added another layer of delay and confusion to an already exasperating experience.
By the time it was finally my turn at the window, my appetite had not only diminished; it had vanished entirely. I decided not to take the order I had originally placed; it was as if they had successfully extinguished my desire to eat.
I had driven in with high hopes of enjoying a quick and satisfying meal, but Pollo Loco in La Quinta, CA managed to crush those hopes thoroughly. Arrived a few minutes early and after waiting 15 after the time my food should be ready we were told they ran out of chicken and would have to wait 30-45 minutes. I asked to have my order cancelled and a refund. She told me I have to cancel order on the app since that’s how I placed my order. I went to try and cancel the order but it showed already completed. I asked the manager how am I suppose to cancel the order if it shows completed her response was I’m not to sure with the app you have to find the link that says contact us. There was no number to call. Only could submit an issue. I went back in and told manger that we can’t cancel the order so we’ll just wait for the food since I already paid. She said she canceled the order on her screen already and there’s no way for her to go back since it was an online order. After being there for an hour I did not get a refund or my food. Read moreThis particular Pollo loco has not so friendly employees. I get there at 9:48pm tonight and their hours are until 10:00pm. I'm the third car to be helped when the girl told me that they only have pollo bowls and not tacos or anything else available. Good thing the bowl is what I wanted. And on top of that... When I placed my order at 9:53 I she proceeds to tell me that I got there late. I told her that it was the long times they took to take the orders of the customers. I told her that I'm not there to argue but that it's not my fault if they keep their customers waiting too long to place an order. Than.... When I get to the window I'm told there is only certain drinks available for my bowl combo.
I have to say that this El Pollo loco is the worse place to go to. I've only been there twice and both experiences were not very good.
