Writing a review of a new restaurant the week it opens is not really a good idea, writing about a new PIZZA restaurant on the first Friday it's open is a really bad idea. So I went back on the second Friday, just to compare. It wasn't a great experience either time, but it wasn't horrible either time. All-in- all I give the food a 4 and the overall service a 2+ or a 3-, but I'm going to be generous and give a 4 overall, it was a Friday after all. And I think the next visit will be the real test.

There are a wide variety of crusts, and I have to say, the electronic menus look great, but I had a little trouble grasping what was what and what the cost is. With most concepts like this (instant pizza, pick your ingredients) it's pick a crust, plus pick ingredients, so much an ingredient. Here it's hard to understand what a crust costs and what an ingredient costs. I think the $9.99 offering is a very thin 10 inch crust with sauce and cheese. I think. The problem is I'm not sure. Every other crust seems to be a $2 up charge from there. And every ingredient is an $1 or more.

They could use a more transparent pricing guide.

The pizza itself is not bad, small, but these types of restaurants are not the traditional big pie for the family place. I will say they do offer a 16" alternative, but it appeared to me that it was baked in a separate roll though oven not the standard pizza oven, and I didn't have one to talk about.

On my two occasions I will say the pie was ok. The amount of sauce and cheese on each was radically different. Friday one I liked pretty well, Friday 2 there was too much sauce and cheese. Typical of a new location, these pies are assembled as you walk along, and there are probably 4 or 5 different people doing the job, so until they get some experience its bound to be different.

First night I ordered there at the restaurant it was a long wait, like an hour. The place was in the weeds, so ok, I understand. But it really wasn't that busy. They got out of order, and were auctioning off the finished pizza because generally their identification system was kind of lost. That said, I liked that pie the best.

Second night I ordered from the app for pick-up. the pizza was ready pretty much the time I specified. Unfortunately, that was the one I like less. Like I said, lets see what the next one is like.

Also got a salad. They are pre-packaged and not customizable at all. I got the garden salad both times and enjoyed it. In fact it was the best thing in the order.

Tried a soft drink from their machine, which is one of those coke multiblend anything you want machines. They always sound like a good idea, but as is the general rule with them, the mix was out of spec, and the result was a cherry coke that was neither. Sorry coke you need to make them easier to balance.

The location itself is nice, lots of seating (which in the age of COVID is good). Unfortunately they are not doing a great job of social distancing or limiting tables. They actually have a community table that has all it's seats there.

Lot's of TV's which all had sports going. They do sell beer and wine. Very large patio, even that had tvs on it.

Worth a try, will update when I...

This review is for Cynthia and karyme for their hospitality food was very awesome service like nobody's business atmosphere was calm collective and their customer service was way above and beyond and amazing their Pizza freshly made had no complaint whatsoever I think I found my new pizza place if anything I think these two women right here at pieology in La Quinta California deserve some type of recognition for their hard-earned work I mean me and my wife we own our own company and I always follow up on my reviews I will be following up on this review and making sure that they at least get some type of award or reward for hard-earned work and as well not being on the phone not joking around not laughing and as well very courteous towards me and my wife and our service animal God bless you pieology and you pick two hell of a workers for your company also if I find that they did not receive any type of work then I will make a donation to them but I'm pretty sure biology you would take care of them they are hard working women and well deserving of this review thank you God bless you guys see...

I love Pieology but my experience here on February 19 was not a positive experience. Notwithstanding their inability to process an order for an XL pizza for a walk-in customer who was ordering other items (I had to call my wife to place this order online while I handled the rest), the staff didn't stop to ask if I was ordering a cauliflower pizza crust because of a gluten allergy. I was, you didn't ask, and you made the pizza with the same utensils and sauce as every other pizza. Other Pieology restaurants ask this question and change their gloves. Some even clean out a spot in the oven. I will continue to eat at Pieology but it will be another location.

Edit: We paid extra for a stuffed crust pizza and did not receive stuffed crust. The wait time between the order I placed in the store and the web order ended up being 30 minutes, leaving my cauliflower pizza to get cold and soggy. The manager refunded my purchase of the cauliflower pizza when I raised the delay and lack of attention to a gluten allergy but this dampened what was supposed to be a family pizza and...

If you like your pizza drenched in ranch when you only asked for a drizzle, or paying $15 for a kid sized pizza that you were expecting to be normal sized. If you like the quality of your pizza to never be consistent then come to Pieology! This is my second bad experience with this place. The first picture was a pizza I ordered when I only asked for a drizzle of Ranch, but received a pizza dough with ranch soup on top, and the second order I used a coupon code for a free pizza after complaining and this is what I get from it. A kid sized pizza absolutely ridiculous will never be coming back to this place especially when Little Caesars has three pizzas for the same price as a normal build your own pizza here.

I've had the regular crust before and it hits pretty good... Today I asked Violet about the grilled cheese crust. Oh my God, it's freaking amazing! Ladies and Gents, treat yo-self when you go here and get the grilled cheese crust. Literally BOMB DOT COM! Also, the staff here is always great and very knowledgeable in regards to the products they sell. My pizza build: grilled cheese crust, oil, marinara, shredded mozzarella, pepperoni, sliced sausage, buffalo chicken, black olives, banana peppers, and roasted red peppers. It was a bit spicy, but adding pineapple would have brought down the spice factor.
