Ok so I’m going to give the play by play….. was standing in the lobby for a good 10 minutes before deciding to walking inside to the back to look for someone to assist…… like a host/hostess. When the lady finally saw me she came to ask me how many was in my party and I told her & then asked for the wait time. She then told me that she could not rush the customers they are eating but they are almost done. I said ok. Since they were “almost done”I waited. Then those people that were almost done left and she never came back to ask me ANYTHING!!! Not thank you for waiting, we’ll be with you shortly NOTHING!! She was too busy running around doing her to-go orders, to even come back and see her lobby was full with families. Once again I go to the back and let her know my whole party is here, and that other party left when can we be seated? She said it will be a little while, they only had 3 servers. I say ok. Being patient, I give it a little longer at that point my sister goes back and has dialog with the lady and then the lady comes back and takes the family that she knew came after us. After that, we were seated, they brought menus and we noticed they don’t cook the food in front of you so now we don’t get the full experience (none of which was said while being seated)I asked the server why didn’t they cook the food in front of you, he said they don’t have any cooks because they get more money on EDD….. really?? How you gonna run your establishment with the premise of having it done hibachi…..STRIKE 2,……at that point the server asked if we wanted drinks and there are NO REFILLS, you are paying almost $3 for a .35 can of soda you can get at Walmart and a $3 bottle of water. They don’t have water because they’re filter system is broken, but they have ice and servin it up in the glasses so where is that ice coming from?? Or are you giving ice that I’m going to get sick from? So we had to ration our drink portions with our meal. I was so tempted to go down the street and get some drink a from the dollar tree or a $1 large drink at McDonald’s across the way. For the food I was not impressed at all. I ordered the sesame chicken/Shrimp plate, that had absolutely ZERO sesame seeds on it, that chicken was eh, DRY and there were 3 whole shrimp on the plate. The chicken fried rice that was an up charge of 2.75 had 2 pieces of chicken in it THATS IT!! The rest of it was a blur, one thing is for certain & 2 things fa sho, don’t waste ya time, money coming here you will leave highly disappointed. All the while, the phone was ringing non stop off the hook, I don’t even see how they had to-go orders when no one ever stopped to answer the phone. Terrible, Terrible won’t...
Read moreInconsistent Service . Blantant Racism. *1st time I visited I was told my sushi rolls were too difficult to make. It was a salmon roll with avocado I walked out and didn't eat.
*2nd time I visited I ordered 1 salmon with avocado roll and it was $12.22. I asked for my roll, the hostess asked the chef if they could serve me and then quoted me a price. Not anything out of the ordinary but she acted skittish , suspicious of me, and rushed me out the restaurant as soon as my roll was ready. It was tense and weird because she watched me the entire time like they do in the convince store. Everytime I moved she moved from her hostess station like I was going to do something negative.
*3rd time I visited i asked for the same sushi roll with a tuna roll. Same routine, I placed my order with the hostess but this time she had the chef come out. He looked at me, they talked to each other in their native language in front of me and then quoted me 16.50 each per roll. Wait didn't I pay 12 the day before? Same thing as before she acted skittish, suspicious of me, and rushed me out the restaurant as soon as my roll was ready. It was tense and weird because she watched me the entire time like they do in the convince store. Everytime I moved she moved from her hostess station like I was going to do something negative.
Blatant over charging for a basic roll. If they didn't look at me with such shock for just coming to the restaurant I wouldn't think twice.
I know covert racism when I experience it. It was clear they didn't want me there and made sure to let me know not to come back .
Rolls had a weird coffee taste anyways.
Got to Shota Sushi instead on Foothill. Rolls priced at 8.00 per roll...
Read moreWorst Experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Very unprofessional service. This was our first and last time.
We were looking for teppan style and found this place since we were in the area. My husband ordered the filet mignon and lobster plate for the dinner option which had an appetizer soup and rice included.
We never got the appetizer, soup, or the rice but the other party at the table did. When we got the food there was shrimp mixed in with the lobster and my husbands allergic to shrimp. We kindly told the waiter that there was shrimp and he said “oh that’s a gift with meal” and we told him he was allergic so he took the food back. Then comes a woman not sure if the owner or manager but upset with the plate in hand saying what’s wrong with the food? So again my husband said I’m allergic to shrimp and she says well why didn’t you tell the waiter? Obviously we did not order shrimp so what would the reason be for telling the waiter randomly I’m allergic to shrimp? Then she goes on to say their plates come with shrimp appetizer, but even if that was the case aren’t appetizer served before the main course separately? Not forgotten about then mixed in with the rest of the food? Then my husband said I just want the food but with no shrimp and she got upset instead of offering initially to remake the food, then rudely told him next time you need to tell us your allergic to shrimp! At this point we were frustrated she was very rude and unprofessional, my husband said we’re not coming back next time and she turns around flips her hair and yells “whatever!”
With that attitude and low standards I’d rather...
