New York Vinny's Pizza — Restaurant in Lacey

Pros: The pizza (I got an 18" Meat head) was very good. The sauce was tasty, the crust had a good taste too, and good texture. The toppings were good, if not too generous.The price ($15) was reasonable for the size of the pizza.

Cons: It took about 15 minutes to get my pizza. The young lady who took my order (I was in at 1:36 on Friday 8/29) was very personable and helpful. It was my first time in, and I didn't know the difference between a large and a "pienormous". I ordered a large (of course, I wanted the pienormous) and, when I saw the price, asked if that was for the 18". She (I didn't catch her name) was very gracious, and fixed the order, all the while being pleasant and polite. The kid in the back (there were, for whatever reason, only 2 employees) seemed to be overwhelmed. There was only 1 of the grab and go pizzas ready, and he was, very slowly, building the pizzas that had been ordered (3 people came in while I was waiting). The girl from the front went to the back, and took over for the kid, finishing the building of the pizzas, and putting them in the oven. Again, all the while, keeping contact with the customers in front, and keeping calm and collected. She should get a raise. The kid in back, well, I don't know all the specifics there but, he wasn't really helping things too much.

I will return, because the pizza was good and, I received very good customer service. Maybe more, or more qualified people helping in the back, would do wonders. the 3 stars are due to the wait, for myself and others waiting. oh, the kid in back wasn't using gloves as he built the pizza. I went in there today to pick up a doordash order. the address took me to this restaurant. the order was called Motown but if you're familiar with doordash, it's common for restaurants and convenient to have something called a virtual brand, which is where the restaurant has multiple restaurants from within but advertises them under different restaurant names on doordash. when I went in to ask for my order the blonde lady at the counter hardly even looked at me before abruptly saying "we don't have that" I told her this was the address I had, and she said that I should cancel the order so another doordasher could pick it up, which doesn't make sense because I thought they didn't have it? I am very observably lgbtq,and felt like she didn't even want to look at me let alone hear anything I had to say. I have a lot of empathy for service workers in this economy but I felt completely uncomfortable and unwelcome and like I couldn't even ask her what was happening then. I don't know what goes on. I just get orders and fulfill them. I feel terrible after that experience and hope you look into her approach to strangers because it is not safe or welcoming. I recently had a calzone, wings, and cheesecake. I love their recipes for all 3. The only issue I had was that the email I received when ordering online for pickup is that the confirmation page did not display a pickup time, nor did my confirmation email. I then had to call the store myself to find out when I needed to pick it up. In my confirmation email, it stated to call the store for more assistance. I definitely shouldn't have had to do that. I think they should have been notified, and then contacted me because I had to take the time to fill out my address, email address, and phone number. I called the store and they gave me a pickup time of 10-15. When I got there, I asked her if this is a common issue with the website, and she really didn't have an answer for me. I guess the only issue I have with this is this... I only live a couple of blocks from the store, and picked up promptly. However, the food was not hot when I got it home, so the calzone was already soggy and the wings were only luke-warm. It should have been piping hot when I got there so that it would still be good just 5 minutes later when I got it home.
