Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Lady Lake

Well...we generally enjoy AppleBees but not tonight. It started off bad first thing. We chose to dine outside where we waited approximately 15 plus minutes and still nobody greeted our table after seating, so I went inside to inquire about our server where I was told someone would be right out ....and that took another 10 minutes. Our drink order was taken and the server tried to rapidly scoot to get our drinks but I stopped himself told him we were ready to order at which he seemed shocked ...gheeze now we only had right at 30 mins to make our selection so YES we were ready to order. The server returned with our drinks which’s were wrong we ordered Lemonade and Pepsi and we were served Tea and Sprite so getting that corrected took about 10 more minutes. We ordered queso and chips, and when it was brought to the table it looked strange but of course the server jetted off. It looked and tasted like Alfredo Sauce. I had to go inside again to report this to a different server where he said he’d send out the Mgr. The MGR came out in about 10 mins. I explained to him we ordered queso and iI do believe this is Alfredo sauce as it has peas and carrots. The MGR explained no that’s pico. I projected to him that it tastes like Alfredo as this doesn’t taste like any queso I’ve had other places. MGR confirmed it’s queso those are the tomatoes and peppers from the pico, but he did offer to replace it with something else, so we got the spinach dip which came out fine. Now the meal... we ordered the chicken broccoli alfredo. Amazingly the Alfredo sauce tasted just like the queso dip we sent back but watered down as it was very watery....ummm. This meal was to come with breadsticks which never came out. When the dinner was brought out the server offered to get the husband a lemonade refill so he took his glass and never came back with the drink, so my husband ate his entire meal with no drink. We were finished and ready to go waiting on our server to return to offer up desert and or the check but he didn’t. So, again I went inside to speed this process up, so I told the greeting server when I went inside that we needed a to go box, my husband would like his drink that was taken when his meal arrived and never brought back along with our check. This server commented “Boy you’ve had some issues tonight “ to which I replied yes as a matter of fact I just told my husband that dinner started out all wrong for us this evening. This server stated he’d send our server out. So, again about another 10mins passed and we finally got our check paid and we both said “well that’s the last time for Applebee’s at least for a long while anyway. So I rate tonight’s Applebee’s visit 1/10 ...poor extremely slow service and poor quality food....perhaps you might want to rethink your next visit to Applebee’s. And, to top it all off...it was my BIRTHDAY outing for dinner ...some birthday dinner...

Enter this restaurant on 5-6-23 245 pm My wife and I broke away we've only lived in lady lakes a short time and wanted to eat at Applebee's. Let's see when we arrived we were seated by a hostess to put us at a high top table we waited 10 minutes and never did get any menus we had to try and track those down on our own, well three waitresses we're sitting in the back on their cell phones in the manager outside smoking.. We had to track down the server for placing our order as we grew tired after 25 minutes. So again tracking down someone mind you this is at 3 in the afternoon there's it's not busy at all there's three waitresses on their cell phones.. We just couldn't get the bartender to break away from all her socializing at the the bar the total of six patrons that were drinking only no food... Finally got our food, no one ever checked on us.. The potatoes were cold.. Once we ate we sat around for another 15 minutes waiting to get our tab so we finally had to walk up and extract that out of the bartender... We left really angry and astonished we would spend that kind of money on absolutely the poorest service that we've ever had in our lives.. Once we left we were actually so upset we called the manager who was the invisible Man most of the time at the restaurant.mostly just in and out smoking... we called and he is absolutely very non-caring attitude about the whole thing which is reflected by the reviews that we've read.. The management just seems extremely laxidasical and really not having a clue on how to run a restaurant especially a chain restaurant..we actually watched a couple come in and get seated by the twelve-year-old hostess with no menus again... We watched as time went on wondering why no one had gone to take their order with three waitresses in the back cackling on their cell phones...they ended up walking out. With most Applebee's the manager will usually come around and talk to people mind you this was a very slow time of day with this much staff you would think that you'd actually be able to get taken care of... The management here is either extremely inexperienced or really doesn't give a dang I can promise you we will NEVER go back

8-17-24 Heard there was new management, nope... Still the same bland irrevocable incompetent people here, after 20 minutes left... This is just one giant failure at this...

Worst experience that my daughter and I have had in an Applebee's. We will not be returning to this Applebee's and I will let all of my friends know as well. I know that even as I am typing this that nothing will be done but, hey if it keeps people from going there than I have done my job! Did not have to wait to be seated. Server came and took our order. She was nice at first but, then things took a turn for the worst. 15 mins before we got our drinks which were only iced tea with lemon (that I never got) and Dr. Pepper. We ordered appetizers wontons without the hot sauce on them, queso and chips with sour cream and 8 cheese sticks. The wontons came out wrong with the sauce on them and we never got the cheese sticks until the meal. They remade my wontons so, when the waitress brought them the second time I thought they were right WRONG again and it was because she picked up the wrong ones! REALLY!!! Good thing I wasn't allergic. She never apologized at all for her mistake even as I was sitting there trying to get my throat to stop burning. We never got our sauces because we both ordered the chicken tender special. The manager brought them and my daughter finally got a refill on her soda. She was the most horrible waitress that we have ever had. Walked by us like we weren't even there and also another waitress had long hair half way down her back serving food and when she was taking an order used her hand to push it back out of her face. That is a health violation! If you want good service and food at an Applebee's go to the one in Eustis Florida. Katlyn, Maddie and Jake will take good care of you. That is the only one that will be going to...
