El Ranchito The Villages — Restaurant in Lady Lake

This place looks nice from the outside and is very colorful inside. Therefore I’ll give them a 5 for décor. But that’s where my happy mood stops. The food was far from authentic Mexican in that it had almost zero spice, chilies or peppers. I ordered the E combo with a chili relleno. The relleno was stuffed with cooked ground beef having no detectable spice. It was as if I was eating leftover ground beef in a tortilla shell at home. There was almost nothing left of whatever chili the chili relleno was supposed to have inside. As for the chicken enchilada; the chicken itself was ok but there was almost no enchilada sauce over it, none with any flavor and from my first bite there was the taste of sugar which caught me by surprise. That never happened in a Mexican restaurant before. Sweet taking the place of authentic spice. Next was the beef and Monterey Jack taco. That was better than the enchilada or the relleno, but again, there was a serious lack of spice here too. It was accompanied with Spanish rice and beans, which tasted plain, I might even say boring. For dessert we split a deep fried ice cream, but even that arrived half melted and had a plain, non exciting flavor. Before we even saw the bill the two of us decided that this would be our last visit to this Ranchito. The bill was only thirty four something so I can’t complain about the prices....

Went in sat at bar was Very Dirty sat for a few minutes no one would even give eye contact or clean the area we sat at. We got up and went and got a table after sitting 10 min we got chips and salsa and no it wasn't busy cause it's was Friday night and had to wait another 10 minutes to order drinks and the older guy that was waiting on us said he was too busy and it will be another 10 minutes to get a drink. So we waited. When hr brought us drinks we said we are ready to order dinner he said he is too busy and there were people ahead of us which wasn't true there were 1 ahead of us and 1 behind us. So eventually the people behind us left cause after the rude response the guy was giving they walked out which I wanted to do but my husband wanted to try the food. So once he came to take food order he was rude and once he took order we asked for a drink once again he is too busy and might be 10 or more minutes my husband went to bar and flagged someone down.we finally got our food half right. Ask for silverware and napkins he said if he can find some. Finally I asked for manager he said he was manager which he done nothing but complain owner doesn't have enough people to make drinks and wait tables. He the came back and said manager is watching cameras so he knows but he said he was manager. BUNCH OF LIARS I WILL NEVER GO BACK AND THE FOOD...

I have ordered from here a few times before and everything was really good. We ordered this past Monday and everything was delish! We ordered tonight the exact same from Monday except I added an additional item.

We ordered through doordash both times as well. When I received my order tonight , our tortillas for the fajitas did not come , my sons meal was made incorrectly, our fajitas is suppose to come with ham in it (was not in there). I call to let them know and fajitas is suppose to come with tortillas and the rest of the concern . The gentleman was completely rude and was like you have to pay for them and when I corrected him he said ohh no you are right . Extra you have to pay for . Yes okay I understand extra because I did ask for extra. I did Monday night and we got them no big deal but today it was a deal. I said well you are missing them in general. He was rude and told me he would pass to management . I said I doubt that because it doesn’t matter to them. I asked for a manager and of course was told there is not one. Yeah , okay! You already got the money and it’s through doordash so you just won’t care . I was told to contact door dash. So my review is based on tonight’s service experience , mainly on the guys attitude.
