The atmosphere at Miller’s Ale House is undoubtedly inviting, but the inconsistency in the quality of the food remains a persistent issue. On several occasions, particularly during “special prime days,” the food has been either overcooked or undercooked, with little regard for proper preparation. When concerns are raised with management, they seem more focused on providing the least costly solution rather than genuinely addressing the problem, all while maintaining the same price point. I have no issue with the pricing, and my wife and I always tip generously—typically between 30 to 35%. It’s worth noting that the bartenders, in particular, have consistently provided exceptional service, always going out of their way to be courteous and accommodating at both bars. Unfortunately, despite the great service, we ultimately decided to stop dining at Miller’s due to the ongoing issues with food quality. Our experience on May 31, 2024, confirmed our concerns. This time, every dish we ordered was either burned or extremely dry. We documented the experience with photos of the poorly prepared food, which was clearly unacceptable. Regrettably, we left the restaurant deeply disappointed. At this point, I cannot recommend any dish from Miller’s Ale House. I sincerely hope the management takes these issues seriously and improves the quality of their food moving forward. Good luck to anyone dining there.

If you are really into sports, this is your place. I watched our waiter custom setting one of the tv's near us to the game a customer requested. There are more tvs than I could count. Because of the games being on, it gets loud to louder at times. If you're not into loud sports bars, don't come here and give the place a poor rating. The Nick was attentive, and the manager came check to be sure we were enjoying our first visit and what brought us in. The menu had a good variety from the burgers and wings you would expect at a sports bar. Then, there is a wide variety of items, steak, seafood, texmex, and pasta. Pat really enjoyed the lobster ravioli. I had their Cue the bacon burger, which I really enjoyed. This is an ale house, I was disappointed that they did not have their own brews on tap. There's an opportunity to collaborate with a local microbrewery. That said, there are huge numbers of choices on tap and in bottles, with enough info on the menu to guide your choice. There is no excuse for being thirsty.

Stopped by the Lady Lake Miller's Ale House on Friday in the early afternoon for lunch since I was in the area. This was my 2nd visit to this location with the 1st visit not being a very good one. I sat down at a 3/4 empty bar and when the bartender came around I asked for a Pabst beer, a menu item. The bartender checked all the coolers and came up empty, I then saw her talk to a Manager, and she went back to working. Several minutes later I went around the bar to ask if I was getting a beer since the bartender never came back to me. Before I could ask, she saw me and said sorry, there wasn't any. I said thanks, and left. If I wasn't left sitting there, I would've had a different drink and ordered my lunch, but since I was just left there, figured leaving was best. If my next visit here goes better, I'll update this review past 2-stars. If not, I'll delete it and never go to this location again.

Sadly, it was a problem with the server who didn't care, Justyce. Let me explain.

It was our first time at this location (had been to the one in Ocala for years without problems). Sure it was busy. We arrived right about 5 PM. It was busy and we had a short, expected wait.

We here seated and served without any issues. The food was good and served hot. The Mahi tacos and the burger were great.

The server slid by and put the receipt down as we were finishing the meal, around 6:15 PM. She never asked or attempted to remove the empty beverage glass, never asked fir a dessert order (bad assuption if she was trying to increase her per-head check average as I typically order their Captain Jack dessert), and I had an entire taco left over which I wanted to take. We watched her walk by a number of times NEVER asking for our dessert order, or boxing up my remaining food (see the pic of the food on my plate sitting at the edge of the table for 25 minutes.

It appeared she had a 3 or 4 table station and the place was much slower -- several empty tables by now. I would excuse a busy server, but this wasn't the case.

After the 25 minutes of obvious abandonment, I went to the hostess to tell some that we want to skip our planned desserts, pay our bill, and just leave. The general manager finally presented to the table right after I spoke to the hostess (who kindly silently paged the GM to come to us).

He came over the same time the server came by (coincidence?) to offer us a to-go box. I explained we were done with the place and just wanted to pay. The GM offered a $10 gift card (pretty platry amount to stop losing customers) to recover from the incident. Sorry, too late for that, and the GM never asked if the gift card would even make up for meal. I wasn't looking for that; I just wanted an ear and a simple apology.

In reference, my wife and I have 25 years of combined experience in ALL positions in the restaurant business, including server training. I have never experienced such an indifferent server. If Justyce is representative of the typical server here, I'll suggest to ask for someone else, but enjoy the food...but I can't speak to their desserts as we were never offered the opportunity to try them.

I posted some...

We arrived before 11pm, and got seated very quickly, but that's where the good experience ended. Our waiter introduced himself (his name was Nate), took our drink orders (which was a water and sprite)....and proceeded to disappear. It took us 15 minutes. And he came one time before that to let us know that he didn't have our drinks. After finally receiving our drinks, Nate took our orders....for which it took 40 minutes to come out to us. And another 5 - 10 for my partners fajitas to come out behind my meal, after he claimed he was going right back to get them. But, you know, wink at me and be flirty instead of actually doing your job, right? We actually had to flag down the hostess to ask if there was an issue, since we had seen people come in after us already get their food. I ordered the chicken scampi skillet, and it was fantastic. Great first impression on food. My partner got the fajitas....and found, despite being on a sizzling griddle, that the meat (medium rare) was still cool on the outside, and VERY lacking in seasonings. It hardly tasted as if it had even been salted. We brought this up to the attention of Nate, and he essentially just told us to heat it up ourselves on the edge of the skillet. We had been there long enough that my partner immediately ordered donuts since we actually wanted dessert, and hopefully could order them before the kitchen closed at this point. We finally received those... my partner tried one, then asked me to try one. They had so much potential, but instead it had apparently been left in the fryer for to long, and we're just almost just entirely crispy balls of grease. At this point we are done, we just want to leave. We looked for our waiter to flag him down for 10 - 15 minutes, for which we again had to flag down the hostess to ask for our check. She had to hunt him down because she could not find them. He finally returns, we tell him we want the check, he tells us okay, STARTS FLIRTING AND STARTING A CONVERSATION WITH ME, FOR WHICH MY VERY OBVIOUSLY BOYFRIEND WHOM I AM SITTING NEXT TO HAS TO INTERRUPT AND ASK AGAIN...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Miller’s Ale House, and I must say, it was an experience to remember. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and made to feel right at home.

Our server, Diana, was an absolute gem. Her attention to detail and unwavering dedication to ensuring our dining experience was nothing short of perfect truly set the tone for the evening. Diana went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, offering insightful recommendations and ensuring our glasses were never empty.

While enjoying an exquisite meal, our evening took an unexpected turn when a fellow diner suddenly began to choke. Panic set in among the patrons, but in a moment of sheer heroism, Diana sprang into action. With calm and precision, she swiftly performed the Heimlich maneuver, saving the diner's life right before our eyes. Diana's quick thinking and decisive actions transformed what could have been a tragic event into a testament to her incredible courage and selflessness.

The ambiance of the restaurant was also noteworthy, with its cozy yet sophisticated atmosphere providing the ideal setting for a memorable meal.

In summary, dining at Miller’s was an absolute delight. The combination of exceptional service, delicious cuisine, and inviting ambiance made for an unforgettable experience. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough, and I am already looking forward to my next visit. Many thanks to Diana and the entire staff for a truly fantastic evening. Diana's heroic act not only ensured the safety of a fellow diner but also left a lasting impression on everyone present, including myself. Her selflessness and quick thinking in a moment of crisis speak volumes about her character and dedication to her guests. It is rare to encounter such a remarkable individual, and I am grateful to have had the privilege of experiencing Diana's extraordinary service firsthand. She is not just a server; she is a true hero, and her actions will be remembered long after the...
