Champ's Sports Bar — Restaurant in Lafayette

My friends and I come here every weekend. Service has always sucked but we liked the karaoke room. The only decent person there is the old man security guard at the door. LOVE HIM! Everyone else is disrespectful. Yesterday 4/12/25, we went back again as we do every weekend. This time the vibe was off, everything looked different. My friend and I were let in and I immediately walked to the bar to get a drink. I noticed a lady pointing at us from the other side of the bar while she talked to a bartender. (Assuming it’s the owners wife). About a minute or two later our friend who is gay walked in and was wearing heels. A man (I was told he was the owner) told the security guard we weren’t allowed to be in there because we didn’t have VIP passes. I guess that has always been a rule but as I stated before we go every single weekend and have never heard anything of the sort. I understand if they were being extra on the rules bc boss man was there, but nobody else was kicked out. I also asked 3 different workers how to get a VIP pass and they didn’t want to tell me how. Acceptable service. Good atmosphere but what i did not appreciate is that my tab was $16.00 and i got charged $25.00 when i checked my account. I tried several times over the weekend to attempt to reach out to them with no answer but the error from being overcharged was fixed so that i greatly appreciate. the tall bleach-blonde bartender apparently known as "kyra" essentially threw my last beer at me for no apparent reason... so we left her zero tip, at which point she confronted us and asked us why... after we told her she stormed back to the bar and had her tiny little boyfriend physically threaten a member of our party (LMAO) and then try to call the cops. honestly, this bar isn't really that bad... we've been coming here at least every other weekend for about six months now and never really had bad service--certainly never anything like this. we'll probably check back in a month or two to see if she's...
