El Chicano — Restaurant in Lafayette

God and son bless this place, family, and establishment! Their food is so good and has soul in it. Beautiful decorations with legends behind them like the grey statue of Iztaccíhuatl and Popocatépetl! 💙 The staff is kind and sweet and has the mom and pop shop feel I loved as a child. Right next door is a kid's shop with favorites such as Hello Kitty, a few Dragonball Z merch, and I believe I also did see a few Demon Slayer merchandise. They have some pens for 3$ if you are tight on money but still want your kid to be happy! Instead of fast food/big name owned franchises, I highly reccomend you keep family owned businesses alive and running. They deserve the support for their dreams and goals. May this establishment continue running for generations to come. 😇🥰💙

I read the reviews and it looked like a well favored place to order food. I will never order from here again.

I ordered for delivery, I recieved my food in a timely manner. The steak taco I ordered had a few thin, small strands of hair in it. This grossed me out a bit but I figured things like this do happen unintentionally. So I just moved on to my next food item. It only worsened from there.

The fries I ordered were overly fried to a dark Carmel color. The chicken tenders I had orderd were subpar.

Then when pouring my sauce out of the sauce cup a very long and thick black hair came out with it. I was overly disgusted at this point. I had to quit eating.

For a first time experience I would not recommend this place to anybody. I wasted 30 dollars on a bad experience. There are other very good Mexican food options in the Lafayette area. Look elsewhere for better...

BEST TACOS IN INDIANA!!!…the steak and tripe tacos are my favorite, every taco gets overloaded with meat (not stingy at all), the meat gets a seasoned and cooked to perfection. I love the fact you get guacamole on top of it. Reminds me of tacos I would always get in Tijuana, Mexico. I tried the torta cubana and al pastor as well and they are amazing. Again full of flavor and very enjoyable. I don’t go to any other taco spot in town. The lady with the glasses that always greets me and attends me very well is very nice and I appreciate the service you give me every time I go. I always leave satisfied.
