A double (shot) latte is stronger than the equivalent Starbucks drink, so head-to-head, I would choose Peet’s. The ability to get a free specialty coffee when ordering beans is a nice bonus. Parking in the strip mall parking is free and easy. It can get busy weekday mornings if the local bike club decides to take a stop there. If possible, order ahead on the mobile app. Four stars because now and again the egg and cheese sandwich was not fully cooked through. Over the years, I started going to other Peets but this one still holds a place in my heart. It always smells great, is super clean and the staff is helpful. I love the courtyard in back though every time I go there I wonder just how much better that area could be if the landlord gave any effort to improve it. The courtyard behind Peets could be the best place in Lafayette but since it hasn’t been touched in the last 20 years, I doubt it will.
