I rarely write poor reviews but my experience this evening compels me to share it. Unfortunately, I didn't even get the opportunity to try the food but I will say the service was rather poor and somewhat humiliating. I've never eaten at a simple Greek before and maybe I never will. I pulled up tonight at 7:48 p.m. the sign on the door says they close at 8 p.m. I could see that there two women and one man cleaning and it appears to be closed. I decided to get out of my car anyway to see if maybe I could get a menu from them since I'd never been there before. All of the staff that was there saw me but refused to make eye contact with me. It actually looked like they were communicating and laughing with each other about the fact that I wanted someone's attention. I went ahead and knocked on the door because I could hear them talking so I know they could hear me. They refused to acknowledge me so I just asked if maybe they could give me a menu. Again Snickers and laughter. So I got back into my truck and called them. A man picked up the phone and pretended like he couldn't hear me. And then a woman got on another line and she also pretended she couldn't hear me. I was watching them from the parking lot. It looked like they were having a good time. I don't really mind the fact so much that they closed early. I understand there are shortages with staff and difficulties with running a restaurant at this time. But there's absolutely no reason for staff act like High School and be unkind to a potential customer. I was made to feel about an inch tall. So, maybe I'll give it another shot, but probably not because this experience was awful. It's a shame. I'd like to find a nice place to get some good...
Read moreI really like this place and my office orders it often now since we are so close. I went to pick up a online order recently and it was absolute chaos when I went in. The staff was clearly overwhelmed and not handling it well at all. One employee with a bow tattoo by her ear was openly swearing and dropping F bombs and complaining to her other team mates that they were busy. My order still wasn't ready after waiting a half hour after ordering to pick it up. I was patiently waiting at the pickup counter and was rudely told to go sit down. Stunned I took a seat and got a chance to see first how unorganized and unclean they are here. These employees clearly have not been properly trained in food handling. I worked as a restaurant manager for 8 years in fine dining and was appalled. I watched the one girl who was swearing just making and absolute mess. She lifted fries from the fryer and didn't let them drain so she spilt hot oil across the entire floor. She then dropped a whole order on the ground and then picking it up and put it in the bag it up like nothing happened. The entire time I watched no one ever changed their gloves a single time after handling money and making multiple orders. I finally got my order and all my bags were covered in grease and food. You have a great concept but your staff will ruin you before you ever become successful if you don't get proper management...
Read moreTo start, this is not my first visit to a Simple Greek. I have recently moved here from Ohio. Back home, my husband and I would get Simple Greek for dinner almost weekly!
We were so excited to find out there was a Simple Greek so close to us so after not even a month of living here we decided to treat ourselves.
The service, to start, was definitely not the best. We were rushed through line, had someone else get fast tracked in line so me and my husband weren’t even standing next to each other let alone ordering together any longer. Rushed so much that my husband missed half of the topping options so he didn’t even get what he wanted. Not to mention the server was talking to us so loud it sounded like she was literally yelling the whole time.
We ordered Greek fries (typically my favorite) and two pitas. All of the food was as close to flavorless as I can describe. You eat Greek food for the flavor. If I wanted chopped vegetables and boiled lentils I would have just done that myself.
As much as I love Simple Greek, I can’t see my family patronizing here again. Not a good experience, pretty uncomfortable, and the most bland food I have ever had prepared for me.
Unfortunately, it looks like I’ll be making my Mediterranean at home...
