Saigon Beach — Restaurant in Laguna Beach

Prices have gone up and quality has gone down. Used to love this place so much but every-time i go the food quality gets worse. I keep trying to go back hoping the food will taste the same as it once did but it’s always worse. The pho tastes like water, i am 100% sure they microwave it and add water now. The beef is seriously disturbing and flavorless. Tonight was my final straw as i took a bite out of my beef and it tasted like fish… my brother stopped eating it after a few bites because of how bland and weird it tasted, not to mention the broths Neon yellow color…. This restaurant is huge on flavor but not on price.. we had a beautiful dinner here. You order at the front counter and then they bring everything to your table. There is an outdoor patio or an indoor dining room to choose from and both are clean but nothing fancy.. just a down home come as you are casual beach vibe. Our favorite dishes were the spring roles, shaken beef, and the brisket banh mi dip sandwich. When I was looking for a Vietnamese restaurant to meet up in Laguna beach, I came across this gem! It’s a cozy, homey spot with a great atmosphere for dining. We ordered fried egg rolls, crispy wontons, a pork banh mi, a pork vermicelli bowl, pho (traditional soup), chicken curry, passionfruit mango limeade, and Thai iced tea. The food was absolutely delicious, I especially loved the appetizers!
