Blaze Pizza — Restaurant in Laguna Niguel

I do love me some Blaze Pizzas. I heard about the free pizza on the 19th. What I didn't think about prior to coming here is that I got there when Aliso Niguel school got out about the same time I arrived. So there was a whole sleuth of black shirts lining up for these as well. It was hot the day I went and they had this water cooler that had water that tasted like plastic. That was not the best thing all day here.

One of the reasons why I do like coming for the opening free pizzas is not only because it' free, but because they actually do take the time and put extra effort in making your pizza is done right on these soft openings. So I got my usual Veg-Out pizza with a twist of bacon and artichokes on Gluten Free. They do ask if Gluten free was a preference or an allergy, so I do assume that they would make it slightly different if it was an allergy. (I.E. only one person touching the crust)

The pizza was done quick and it was tasty. The gluten free crust is thin like a cracker. My pizza was tasty and so were the other creations that came out along with my order. The last topping guy always has arugula and I always get that as a topping for my pizza to get it a zing. You should try it too.

I actually do prefer Blaze pizza over Pieology when it's done right. The only time I've had it bad at Blaze (not this location) was when I got to a location prior to closing. I feel Blaze's dough is thinner and yet chewier (again, when it's done right). There would be a slight crispness when you take a bite into it. The toppings would represent itself when you don't put more than 4 of them on the pizza. (Even though you can pretty much put everything on if you like but I find that it would be really soggy if you do)

Parking is in a big lot. The feel of this place kind of reminds me of a cafeteria setting. I don't know if it was the squarish layout but this is probably the largest Blaze I've seen and I've been to 5 in Orange County.

They do have the blood orange lemonade in this location in addition to the regular lemonade. It's quite good, slightly tart and extra sweet.

My experience with Blaze Pizza is from eating there one time so not enough data to be real accurate however from this single visit I can say it was delightful. I was first assisted by a young lady with a smile who began asking me what i wanted on my pizza, after a few minutes and a couple more nice employees I was off to my table where i relaxed and let me eyes wander at the clean and inviting interior and some of the employee s walking around cleaning and bussing tables ( ᵈᵒⁿᵗ ᵏⁿᵒʷ ᶦᶠ ᶦᵗˢ ˢᵗᶦˡˡ ᶜᵃˡˡᵉᵈ tʰᵃᵗ) after about ten minutes our number was called and my awesome wife jumped up to get the order, that is when I heard her say the one four letter word that you shouldn't say around children and thankfully there weren't any because it was loud. The person who gave her the pizza did not supply an oven mitt or towel, or a warning so naturally because my wife is staring at her phone she is not paying attention and ends up burning her hand however it was not bad and as soon as we took a bite the incident was forgotten because the food...

Came here on 10/20/24 during a a really, busy hectic time around 6pm and the staff worker named Purity was really kind and helpful! Despite being yelled at by her other co-worker or manager (it was an older woman with little hair and 2 braids) she maintained a positive attitude with us. After our long wait time of 30 mins for 2 build your own pizzas, we asked the same lady with the 2 braids for some sauces on the side and she told us, “Next time if you want sauce on the side, you can just ask for it when you’re paying up front.” My boyfriend and I felt this comment was rude and unnecessary because we didn’t know you could do that or that it was possibly the norm at this blaze.
