Peet's Coffee — Restaurant in Laguna Niguel

I come to this location every other month for a business meeting. I love to come here early and enjoy a good cup of coffee and a light but high protein breakfast like their “egg-white, tomato & feta frittata.” I love the fact that they open super early like 6am (while it is still dark), quiet and safe so I can get some work done on my computer with little distraction. I find it pretty cool that, at this location. the barristers actually greet their regular customers by their first name. I don’t live in the area but they greet me with a lot of smiles every time I come here. My favorite pastry is the almond croissant— flaky and filled with almond paste. It is super yummy!!! I stopped here today to order a cappuccino. They had some type of order snafu as their printer ran out of paper. The girls making the drinks seemed clueless. The manager came out and fixed the printer. They have a screen also. By the time I got my drink it was so hot I could barely drink it and then realized the milk was burnt. You know how burnt milk tastes? Terrible. I threw the drink out at this point and rode home. I will add that it is not always this way. Maybe this was the weekend...

So everyone who works here is super friendly and nice but i can tell that they’re machine seems old as heck as the quality of the coffee quality differs day to day no matter who makes it- and as someone who’s had expirence with these machines I can tell the theirs only works when it wants to. I hope that someone higher up replaces their machine soon, it’s a really great spot I just wish it was more consistent, which again isn’t the employees fault purely a mechanical issue.
