Worst restaurant customer service experience in 10 years! First I will say, the food was good BUT, Be prepared for the service or lack of service rather. Alright I'll do my best to keep it short and simple. When we get there a guest that was seated at a table by the door tells us "if you want to be seated you might want to seat yourself, they aren't seating people. They're just telling people to sit wherever you like" so with no employees in sight (except the bar tender who didn't seem think it was her job to notify the other staff that new guest had arrived) we sat next to the door and next to other tables that had guests so that we could obviously be seen... It took 20 minutes for anyone to come greet us, really not a big deal (as we did seat ourselves). The Manager offers free chips because of the long wait. No one in our party wanted chips. So we thank her and pass on the offer. She tells us she'd like to get us dessert, ok so maybe we would take that offer up... We ordered and got our food, waiter and Manager are present as the food is delivered to the table, "manager asks can we get you all any?" We ask for salt and ketchup, that never made it to the table, no big deal we eat without it. We wanted napkins and ranch but no one ever came to our table after the food was dropped off... No big deal we just washed our hands in the restroom instead... We wait and wait and wait for to go boxes, finally we see customers who are obviously not getting proper service because they are having to get up and get their own to go boxes and bags and late we see that their waiter (our same waiter) had forgotten to get them their things also. At this point my son asked the waiter for salt, the waiters reply was " it's a little late now bud" he also said "I thought the she (the manager) was waiting your table tonight"
Let's just pay and get out of here, the waiter takes our credit cards to charge us, on his way back to give us our card , the waiter has three credit cards and he stops at different table and asked them if our credit card was theirs... He finally gets it our card back to us. During this most of this Chili's experience the waiter was extremely distracted, hanging with a table of 4 that must have been friends. Maybe the poor waiter was new??? We tried coming up with every excuse imaginable but, I believe it comes down to poor management because the friend we were eating with had a similar experience just a week before... I think we will take our money else were... Do we want a coupon? No. Do we want free food? no. Will we eat here again? Not unless it's...
Read moreThe service wasn't bad but not great. The food was good. The problem was the mistakes. Each meal ordered was wrong or had a mistake. The server was being trained and the server training him was NOT helping. I ordered a sandwhich and asked for rye, I was told by him that they didn't have rye BUT he never stated what bread they had. I asked for it on wheat. The TRAINER should have stepped in. Nope. The Chicken Enchilada soup I got was delicious. We got brought three alcoholic drinks. As we already had drinks & our 11 year old isn't old enough we just stated those are not our drinks. The runner was like are you sure. Plus the the way they carried them the glasses were dripping as they were overfilled, carried by hand & there was beer all over the floor.
Our meals came out. Again a runner. They were like here is your Chili, I told them we did not order Chili. The woman was like "eye roll" & told me yes you did. I pointed to the soup cup & said "No I ordered the Chicken Enchilada Soup & it was already delivered to the table". She said no you have a Chili. Our waiter comes up & she was like they won't take the Chili. He was like I as already brought out her soup & it was Chicken Enchilada. The kitchen messed up the hamburger my husband requested, it was not plain nor cooked the way it was ordered. My daughter's steak was cooked the way she requested but they messed up on the sides she ordered It took them over 20 minutes to bring my husband the hamburger he ordered. No real apology no offer for discount or anything.
The waiter asked me if I wanted a refill, I said no then he asked if I wanted my drink in a To Go Cup, I said no thanks. Then he was like "I'll bring you a To Go Cup". My husband just looked at me and said he just isn't listening or ignored you. The Trainee never offered dessert. My husband had to ask the Training server & we were told to order the dessert from the tablet. We waited & waited then we got up & asked for the check. At that time we were INFORMED we pay at the table using the tablet unless we pay cash then we go go through the server. Well THANK YOU for cluing us in. Wait you didn't. We paid through the tablet, never saw anyone again. Oh & the tablet prints your receipt. If it is like ours it might keep printing out more paper but blank.
So food was overall good but they really need to get it together. Three meals & they made mistakes...
Read moreLet's begin with seating... Me & my kids wanted to sit outside. It was a nice beautiful day out, & they told us we weren't allowed to sit outside. So we had to sit inside. Prior to leaving we saw people sitting out there.. so not sure what was up with that mess....
The service I had was pretty good, however there was only 2-3 tables including ours she was serving. . So service quality may change when busier.
However, the food quality was complete garbage! I did the premium white dip, with unlimited salsa & chips for like $11. When the white cheese arrived on the skillet it was so watery, thin, & hardly any white cheese. Barely 2cmm in the skillet. The salsa was not any better it was literally dripping off the chip like water. The chips were so thin that they would break as you tried scooping cheese up. They were so thin it felt like you were eating air. Not worth the $11 at all! I can go to any authentic Mexican restaurant & get queso between $7-$9, & it'll be in a large blown & it'll be a way better consistency. So if you are craving nachos, go to your local authentic Mexican restaurant. They'll have better quality cheese, salsa, chips, & etc. I wanted to get fajitas, but I don't like tge black beans or the rice, & would not meet me substitute my sides... which is insane! So I order the secret burger. When I told the server that I wanted my burger med/well .. she said that she can't do that. I was shocked.. she said they can't guarantee med/well & all they could offer was pink or well done. I should have just left then..but my kids had already order. I was not really happy. Burger comes & it was not cooked correctly & the grilled onions were almost obsolete on my burger (server redemdy the onions by getting me more), but it still should have been right the 1st time. My daughter got some type of southwest chicken salad with quesadilla. The chicken on her salad was almost paper think. I've never seen sliced chicken so thin! Her quesadilla had hardly any cheese... more tortilla than anything. My son order chicken tenders, they were good & so was the Mac & cheese. I spent $89 all together... not worth it in my opinion. I just should have went to Texas Roadhouse instead. I do not...
