terrible. disgusting. picked up here when working for doordash. Treated me terribly. I went through their sad excuse of a drive thru and waited behind another car for 10 minutes. I tried speaking out to the speaker multiple times. A car pulls behind me and then they finally decide to tell me that doordash needs to go inside to pick up the order. I tried to tell them that there was no way for me to get out, but i was interrupted multiple times by a male employee saying “go inside. go inside” very loudly over my voice. I then had to wait for the person in front to drive out, which then took another 10 minutes. I parked my car and walked to the entrance. I saw about 10 huge roaches on the outside. I also saw that the back door was wide open, with roaches coming and going as they please. I walked into the restaurant and saw three more roaches inside. Walked up to the counter to a cashier not wearing a mask. Looked and saw two cooks making food, not wearing masks. The cashier tossed the food on the counter. I took the food and walked away. I was late delivering my food and had one of the worst experiences i’ve ever had picking up food from a restaurant. i’ve been to gas station bathrooms that felt more sanitary. DO NOT GO HERE. If I could give a 0 stars review I would. Please read the reviews, don't go based on just the stars it has, who knows, maybe friends and family are the ones that gave it the high reviews it has. This place is clean but food is horrible, I ordered a Pastor Burrito (it was all smashed, like the meat was put on a blender), it had everything but meat, maybe 2% meat and the rest was rice, beans and guacamole. I had to go back inside and show them what they gave me. I showed and older man that worked there, he said it was fine, I said NO look at it, I did eat about half but couldn't take it anymore and had to show them before tossing in the trash, I ask for a Manager and the older man did offer to make me another one, I passed. I also had to get rid of my Orchata, it was horrible, AMP's is way better and that is mostly water. At the end I did ended up getting my money back just because I asked, they never offered me that option. Will never go back there, maybe the other food items are better, but If you do really bad on a simple Burrito, I imagine how bad some of the main dishes taste like. As I'm doing this review, my stomach is hurting bad, it's only been about 10 min that I hate half of Burrito and that monstrosity of Orchata. This is the best Mexican food in Elsinore. Other restaurants have fancier dining rooms and decor, but their cuisine doesn’t compare. I have eaten at them all and their food is hit or miss and some are very expensive. I have even gotten food poisoning at one well known place. Not only is Don Meres food fresh and superb, but at a very reasonable price. My wife loves the birria tacos and I have a Carnitas burrito that I have specially made. Best burrito I've ever had and the owner, Jose, always remembers what I want. Tell him Mike sent you and you want that Burrito Especial. Both our daughters want to eat there when they visit our town and they think the enchiladas are the bomb. We have even had the food at our home in large quantities for family gatherings. My Wife's Birthday bash was held there a couple weeks ago and all the food was great. One friend ordered ham and eggs and said they were great.
