I'm gonna start with the negative. The things I really didn't like about this place is they don't have fountain drinks, their seating is extremely uncomfortable. I know I'm gonna come off like a Karen here and I don't mean to act like I have a stick up my *. The guy taking orders, I know he's trying to create a good relationship with the customers by joking and to leave an impression of the place being ran super casual and lax, that's obvious by the places name, but I...just didn't really dig him acting like they don't have things you'd expect at any other restaurant cos "haha we're an authentic Vietnamese restaurant and they wouldn't have western amenities in Vietnam" shtick. It rubbed me in a way that made me wanna eat and leave asap and I did actually end up going somewhere else after finishing instead of ordering seconds.
I don't know, just personally when I go to a restaurant I expect and respond positively to high hospitality and professionalism and the guy joking in the way he is leaves the opposite impression, but judging by reviews I'd say I'm in the minority so.
As for the food, I just got a bowl of pho. It really wasn't anything special, it wasn't bad, but definitely on the bland side. BUT, the saving grace is these guys aren't charging unreasonable prices for their food, the quality definitely matches the price and that alone is deserving of a positive rating. I'm not saying I'd never give em another shot, but before I ever considered it, I'd at least expect a soda fountain mate. Kinda silly to have those big fountain cups only to use...
Read moreWow!!! This place is amazing! I was having a conversation with a friend and they were traveling the world. They ended up in Vietnam and told me about a dish called Pho! He said i needed to get some. I found this place last night and took my girl there. We got it to go, i came home and opened everything up (we got the fillet mignon pho and egg rolls) At first sight I was impressed at how nice everything was packaged! All the ingredients looked like something from a magazine. It was all perfect! I didn't know what to do with everything, so i just through it all in for broth. I put a lid on my bowl because i didn't know if it needed to cook for a bit. Then i was ready to eat! It was love at first bite! My girl and I loved at eachother and smiled..We both gave it a 10. The best way for me to describe it is... it's taste very clean! It's amazingly tasteful but you can just tell that it's high quality ingredients. I got full but it wasn't that heavy type of full. It was just amazing! The people were wonderful the place is clean and the food is off the charts good! Im actually going back tonight.. that will be my new favorite place to eat. I don't eat out much, but i suppose that's about to change.. Fantastic! Thanks for such high quality amazing tasty food.. you've made a...
Read moreI want to start off by saying that the pho was pretty good. However the service and their thai tea wasn’t the best. My family and I ordered take out, and I would’ve understood if it took longer because they were making it from scratch but there were several customers who came in after us and still got their food before we did. It took around 45 minutes for our pho to come out and we only ordered two of them and some wings. Also, I ordered a Thai tea with boba and it tasted spoiled. One of the workers asked me how it was and I said that it was good (which I shouldn’t have) but then the worker talked about how they make their Thai tea fresh, but considering that it tasted spoiled to me, that seemed misleading. The thai tea tasted like either the tea had been left out for multiple days, the milk was spoiled or the boba had been sitting out too long. He gave one to my sister too for free, which I thought was nice, but after tasting it and finding out that hers was also spoiled made me wonder if they were just trying to get rid of it before they closed for the night.
Like I said earlier, the food was great, but this experience just makes me not want to come back. In short, my suggestion to you is get the food but don’t get their thai tea and if you’re going to take...
