From Jersey. Used to go to the original Jersey Mikes down at the shore.
When the franchises opened up I went and was unimpressed with most location's.
This one is the exception. The staff are well trained and make an attempt to care about the product. It shows.
My issue with the other locations is that they are staffed with teens who could not care less. This reflects in the product.
While a Jersey style sub seems pretty low skill, it's skilled work to make a "good" or "great" version. f you are from Jersey you know the classic spots that make a great product. The defining factor is that the staff actually care about what they produce.
I hope this location continues to hire people with soft skills and train them thoroughly. It's the small details, often ratios, that shift the product from edible to enjoyable.
There are some Jersey Mikes locations that are just bad. Sloppy, lazy facsimiles of the original.
I hope this location doesn't devolve into one of those.
