White Castle — Restaurant in Lake in the Hills

We have been doing White Castle for Valentine's Day for the past 17 years. For the past few years, we have ordered through the White Castle app without any problems. Today, however, this store is either closed or not accepting orders through the app. I tried placing an order, and was given a message, "This store is closed during the time you have selected Closed Hours 12:00 AM - 9:00 AM". It is currently 4:53 PM when I am trying to order!!!! And we all know how much a pain in the rear it is to go to White Castle and place an order through the drive through and wait for it...very time consuming...which is why i prefer to place it online and pick it up. Oh, and i tried calling the store. Nobody picks up! I get a message that says nobody is available to answer the phone at this time. Are they closed? On Valentine's Day?? A day which their marketing department has created a loyal legion of "cravers" who have been celebrating this day with them for years??? I am NOT going to make the 15 minute drive on 0°F temperatures to find out open or closed, or to wait forever to have my order made if, in fact, they are open. I guess tonight will be a disappointing spaghetti night instead for my wife and kids who look forward to White Castle V-Day. Thanks so much for ruining our special day and ending our 17 year run. I DO EXPECT TO BE CONTACTED BY MANAGEMENT FROM...

My first time here and last time!!Sticky dirty floors,very unprofessional rude stafe!!I literally stood at the counter for 20 minutes!!First of all when I came in and said good morning,no response!!Ok,I use to a lot people nowadays not saying it back!!The worst is that I had to say excuse me 4 times,before 1out of 3 people looked up at my the counter to respond!!She rudely said Yes!!Very snotty!!I asked her should I go to the drive thru to place my order,cuz I've been standing here for 20 minutes and no one has even looked at more less even taken my order!!Then she replied by saying they are busy!!She was very mad like I was disturbing her!!I said What!!Excuse me!!Im a paying customer!!Still no one said anything,kept working and ignoring me!!I said ok that's fine,I going to my car and calling Corporate!!She said good!Call them ,I don't care !!As I leaving out the door now everyone saying crazy stuff,like I'm glad you leaving,don't come back go eat somewhere else!!I did call Corporate!!I was upset ,I was shaking!!Wow!!Some people Im this world now is terrible!!I will continue to pray for this...

Very dirty store. Tables never cleaned, bathrooms are dirty. Womens has no warm water, you have to touch the sink to turn on and it's dirty. Toliets are never flushed...door dirty. That's just the store. Manager is very dirty. Doesn't chsnge gloves, rude and very unprofessional! Threw pickles on counter to put on burgers ontop of crumbs and onions whren my son said no onions. Very dirty in kitchen area...makes me crawl. The fountain drink area was dirty with sticky screen and counter area. No hair nets neither blew my mind when manager hair all over.

Sit and watched never changed gloves from headset & cashier use then touched my burgers and put in boxes! Gross!

Never ever going back to this location!!! DON'T RECOMMEND IT!

Yesterday 8-4-25 no carbonation at all. We placed an order and they told us after we paid, no refund, nothing to make up for it. Basically told us drink it.

I called and complained immediately! Sad. If I was the health dept I'd fine em n shut down till CLEAN and machines...
