Poke Bros. — Restaurant in Lake in the Hills

Got takeout with my husband last week, & we enjoyed it so much we came back again for lunch yesterday afternoon. A new employee was clearly working. She scanned the menu after I ordered the Duke, & checked it again for each item she added. I had to tell her which sauce was the sriracha aioli. My predominantly rice bowl was less than half full by the end of it, but still $14. My husband had the same bowl, made by another employee, & it looked completely different and at least twice as big. I left hungry and very disappointed. For $14, an employee who does not yet know what they are doing should not be unsupervised making the bowls. Will be hesitant to come back after this. This establishment also does not have water available for customers—just bottled water for purchase.

EDIT: pretty disappointing reply & lack of attempt to actually make this right with the customer. It’s too bad you don’t seem concerned with the $14 I paid for the last bowl of rice. Won’t be back to double down on...

Food is good, fresh, tasty. Restaurant inside is cute and clean, the only reason is not getting 5 stars is because after multiple visits to the location I have never felt welcomed by the staff, I have always felt rushed ( there is nobody in the line besides me). Also feel like it bothers them when you ask for extra something because they literally would give you ONE extra piece of whatever you ask for. Lastly, they speak their language in between them while they are taking care of you, which to me is rude. My first language is not English either but, I would never want to make anyone uncomfortable by speaking my language to someone else while someone who doesn’t understand...

I love poke bros. I have been to a few locations and over all the quality is always amazing & the food is always fresh. This is my first time ordering from this location. I did order for delivery. I got the build your own half & half protein (tuna + spicy salmon). The majority of the bowl was rice and other toppings. There was quite literally 6 pieces of the protein for the entire bowl which was disappointing as in my opinion it is the star of the show. I still love poke bros and always will, I just think staff should keep an aye out as far as portions to avoid things...
