I really like the food. BUT only if I clearly specify my order. I have to detail my order every time because they mess up my order every time. The people here have never gotten my order right anytime I come. Letās start with grill cheese. I have to detail ask them to cook to properly melt cheese in the middle. When I donāt my kids get stacked unmelted cheese Inside the bread. When I order some sort of Cubanā¦if I donāt ask them to cook it longer it comes out cold in the middle..every time. Last nights nights order is the reason I finally after like the 6th incident that itās time to make this mostā¦I ordered 3 grill cheeses for my kids and wifeā¦my wife would love to have a gourmet sandwich..::but a Cuban should not be cold in the middle and hot in the outside. That means they are cooking cold meats inside room temp bread. So because my wife doesnāt want that she has to settle for a grill cheese. After ordering 3 grill cheeses we got a product that was all bread and half slice of cheese. Even the waitress was shocked and reordered. She said the manager recooked himself. I donāt necessarily believe that or else he wouldnt have let the original food out in the first placeā¦I keep coming here hoping there is a change and it has gotten progressively worse. What do you do when your grew up loving Cuban food and they keep screwing up easy stuff..,I guess itās time to quit going there. Lastly watching the wait staff goof around while waiting for unnecessarily long orders when it wasnāt...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThey are good but a bit over priced. Their coffee is excellent and the sandwiches are perfect. Their service is about average. Area is clean. A Cuban sandwich and a coffee runs about $13. Normally it would be around $8-$9. Thatās probably to keep a nice environment. The tostones are crunchy on the outside and tender inside, love em. The menu is well balanced and tasty. Remember this is a cafeteria style menu. You can eat-in or take-out. I like to eat there because it tastes so much better straight from the kitchen to your plate. The music is nice, soft smooth salsa and Latin-Caribbean music. Themed with the Pre-Castro day of Cuba and family portraits of their humble beginnings. They have an outdoor cafe style eating area which is great on a cool sunny day. Coffee here is so much better than Starbucks and a lot cheaper. Not bitter like Starbucks but smooth taste with pre-added cane sugar for the right blend of sweet and comforting taste. If youāve never had Caribbean style coffee aka Cuban, you are missing out. The taste took me back to the time I was working in Puerto Rico and get my morning breakfast or a snack at a local coffee shop aka āuna cafeterĆaā. I recommend them....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreZaZa is hands-down my favorite Cuban spotāand while Iām not Hispanic or a globe-trotting foodie, I am a local who truly values the full experience when it comes to dining out. And that's exactly what makes this place so special.
From the moment you walk in, youāre greeted like family. Whether itās Ramon, the warm and welcoming hostesses, or the ever-smiling managers, thereās always a cheerful āgood morningā and genuine laughter to start your day off right.
But the real magic happens at the coffee counterāthanks to Ms. Miriam. Her cortados are phenomenal, and her service is so kind and consistent that I now only get my coffee from ZaZa. Sheās a big reason why mornings here feel like a treat.
As for the food? Always flavorful, always satisfying, and reasonably priced. Whether you're stopping in for breakfast or lunch, youāll find something that hits the spot. Even the one time my order came out a little mixed up, it didnāt bother meāI was still enjoying something delicious and ended up discovering a new favorite.
If you're looking for a place that serves real, quality coffee and a hearty, tasty breakfast or lunch to go with it, ZaZa is the perfect way to start your day....
