Edit: The owner's nasty (and non-factual) response speaks for itself. I did not insist, bark, or slam anyone in my interactions. I was told the shop would be closed for a week (6/26-7/6) and told the lady over the phone that I could just bring it in after, not expecting anyone to be able to look at my computer in just a few days. She assured me that not only could they diagnose it, but they could fix it before I came in because "as soon as I paid, I'd be next up". Contrary to this owner's assertion, I'm very satisfied with the service at uBreakIFix in Lake Mary. If you're looking for free diagnostics with a smile, go there. Just skip interacting with an owner that thinks a response littered with lies, caps, and exclamation marks is a good way to conduct his business :)

Beware: they charge $79 to diagnose whereas everywhere else in town is free. I was told that issue was fixable and would be fixed within 2 days. I was also told that the labor cost of $79 would be subtracted from labor fix it. Then I got a call stating that it wouldn't be fixed, he was keeping the money, and he wouldn't apply the labor to an all labor data transfer, because I wasn't getting it fixed (which was his choice, stating parts were too hard to get). Took it to a chain like I wish I would have done as step 1 and they are fixing it for $180 (even gave me a discount when I explained what happened with him. Today I walked into Lake Mary Computers for the first time with my laptop Months ago I spilled a large glass of water into the keyboard causing it to immediate shut down. A dear friend who is a longtime satisfied customer of Lake Mary Computers HIGHLY recommended I bring it in for a diagnosis. I was ready to toss it.

Much to my surprise within a short time they were able to get my laptop working again.

I found Lake Mary Computers to be professional, personable and efficient. Most of all I appreciated their honesty.

Although I live in Winter Park, the drive here to this convenient location was definitely worth it! I will return with more equipment and have already recommended to family and friends.
