We showed up at 6pm trying to get a table for 10. I understand that's a lot of people, but Applebee's doesn't take reservations and right after us a group of 14 showed up trying to get seated... Anyway, they tell us it'll be 30-45 minutes. Okay no biggie, an hour rolls by and we ask how much longer it's going to be, but they can't give us an estimate. At this point we're thinking about walking over to Olive garden, but when pressured they say "we're still trying to figure out where to seat you." It's not rocket science! I had a part-time job as a host in highschool and it's not complicated. If you allow 2 and 4 tops (that show up later than the 10 top mind you) to take a row of tables you could put together for a 10 top you'll never have room! 10 more minutes roll by and they put us in the bar at tables that had been vacant the entire time we were there! We figured they weren't seating us there because we had minors. Unbelievable. Service was fine, waitress was nice, food was good. Come time to leave, we can't pay our bill and get out of there. Table checkout wasn't showing our bill and we were trying to get one of the four people standing around doing nothing at the hosting station to help us, no dice... So we wait for another 10 minutes and I told them "I want to pay and leave NOW." They got the message and the bill after that. No apologies for waiting either time. Everything was fine at first we got are drinks and ordered our food endless boneless chicken wings, a mushroom burger and tomato soup and garlic mashed potatoes . While waiting a waitress that wasnt our waitress interrogated us with a half eaten plate of food asking if we ordered it and we didn't. I felt like they targeted my family because one of my family members is in a wheelchair and they didn't interrogate anyone else about the half eaten food plate. WE DIDNT GET EVEN GET OUR FOOD THAT WE ORDERED. WE then talked to the manager and she said she was going take care of it and the meal was on them, we stepped outside to get some fresh air and then came back in and they cleared our table and said why are you back? I stepped out because I was very upset and my family went to get me and they cleared our table again and now the staff said that I was going to call the cops on applebees I DONT KNOW WHAT THAT WAITRESS WAS ON BECAUSE I HAVE NEVER SAID ANYTHING LIKE THAT. I WENT TO THE MANAGER AND I HANDED HER MONEY MULTIPLE TIMES TO PAY FOR THE MEALS AND DRINKS AND SHE SAID SHE DIDN'T NEED MY MONEY!! I TRIED TO PAY FOR FOOD THAT WE DIDN'T EVEN EAT. Read moreWe try to like Applebee's. This Lake Oswego location maybe was the most difficult to make excuses for. We went on President's Day at 5:30. Not busy. We were seated in the bar with one other table for four. Only a few tables occupied in the dining area. Close to 20 minutes go by for both bar seated tables. We were passed by multiple times by servers and in plain sight of the bartender. No hello, be right with you. Nothing. Finally next table got up and asked the bartender for the manager who finally came out from the kitchen area. Our frustration on us not getting waited on seemed to surprise her. We saw several servers who appeared to be talking about who had to take what tables. Shortly we did get helped. Placed our orders. Drinks and food so to speed things up. Almost 10 minutes later the manager says they were out of one of the beers we ordered. No big deal. Ordered another. Finally two beers in front of us at 6pm. 30 minutes from sitting down. Table next to us having similar problems. Food comes soon after. Wife happy with hers. I ordered the Burbon Steak medium. It comes well, well, done and so dry. I don't expect too much if not eating in a steak house so it was fine. Our bill comes and the beer they were out of was on it. Server fixed it. Our server that ended up with us was great.
