One of those places you hesitate to review because it's magical. When we left southeast Portland we thought we would never find something like division wines. But damn, this is 100% that place you want to go in LO. We've been trying to walk to every place in LO that is down near millennium plaza, and this is my favorite hidden gem. It reminds me of places that I loved to get wine from when I lived in Brooklyn, NY. Just the appetizers alone slay most places in Portland, much less LO. Also, everyone is nice and incredibly knowledgeable about the subject of wine, and make it approachable whether you're a beginner or an expert. It is the place in LO to get recommendations for wine, and they'll also grab bottle from your favorite local if you make a mention. Also the bread and butter is always a winner. And tomatoes for the 6 weeks in the year in Portland they can taste delicious. The cheese and charcuterie are top of the game. I buy their fancy cheese for parties at great prices, too. This is the best wine bar, wine shop, cheese shop, and small plate place in Lake Oswego and...
Read moreWe had reservations but they didn't have a table available so we waited about 10 minutes to be seated. Not that big of a deal. As she seated us, she asked if we were ready to order. We said we needed couple of minutes and then probably another 20 minutes passed before I had to hail her down to get her to take our order. And we waited...and waited... Because there seemed to be every effort made to avoid eye contact with us, I had to hail her down again to ask where our meat & cheese board was. By this time, we had been seated for 1 1/2 hours! This is a charcuterie board we talking about! I nursed my glass of wine for as long as I could waiting for the food, but there wasn't much left by the time if finally arrived. The bread on it was good, but the quality and portions were just mediocre, so way overpriced at $28. And forget having a glass of chardonnay. The only one they offered was a 5oz pour for $22! They were clearly short staffed. I'll give them that, but please show your patrons some respect by making eye contact, checking in,...
