There was nothing outrageously wrong with our meal, but it was nothing to write home about. Same with the service. The wine list was incredibly short. They did have a few regional selections. The coconut shrimp and dipping sauce tasted off, like chemicals, as if they'd prepared them on a surface just sprayed with windex. The lettuce wraps had far too little chicken to warrant an entree and were plain. The crab and shrimp cobb's ingredients were fresh and the oil and vinegar dressing on it's own was good, but the ingredients in the salad didn't pair together well, and the dressing did not enhance the seafood. It was alright, but not "good". Our waitress was great, but the hostess came by half way through the meal and took a chair from our table without saying anything to us, just looked at us as she took it. She then took it to another table where the party was larger than four (six people were seated around a square table meant for four). There were other tables where no one was seated, so we found it a bit rude to take a chair from our table without saying a word instead of taking it from one of the several empty tables. They also should have attempted to join two tables for the other party. They weren't busy at the time. The glass of wine I was served was fresh, which I appreciate. The view of the lake was nice. The hostess came by another time to ask if the light coming through the window was too bright, so that was nice. For a sixty dollar lunch (one glass of wine, one appetizer, one salad, and one entree), the meal was lacking and was no more elevated than a meal at a seafood diner on the coast. I have a feeling that the high ratings of this place must apply to a few dinner menu items that they do well. Perhaps the wine list is larger at dinner. I'd rather have spent the money next door at Manzana's or around the corner...
Read moreThis is my new find! I give it a 4 star because of the food I had- read on why before you make a decision, but I’d give it a 5 star for location!
I want to come here during summer when the weather is nice so I can appreciate some quality time with my friends, good drinks and great conversations overlooking Lake Oswego! But you don’t have to wait, you can still be seated by the window and enjoy your meal with a view! The service was great, our waitress was very friendly and helpful. I am adventureous but my stomach is not… so I ordered grilled Salmın but the rice it came with had sweetened sauce in it and it was already in it so I was stuck with it. If you are like me and don’t like to mix your food, you can ask them to lay off the sauce or put it on the side…. And the rice was undercook and crunchy and a nit soggy… The other dish is oyster and clam soup and may friend said it was good. Overall, the lıcation is nice but a bit noisy because of the glads and tall ceilings, it becomes a bit hard to speak and listen, you feel like you have to raide your voice to communicate. One downside for me was they only had filtered coffee… decaf or normal… no cappucino, no espresso… that was a bummer…
And oh, I tried their creme brule too…. CopperRiver did a better job for me.. The brule had a burnt and more oily taste and aftertaste in my mouth and the cookies that came with brule was not necessary… I think I would go there for drinks, the view more… Don’t forget this is my opinion, you can give it a go and add to the review! I hope the videos and pictures...
Read moreEdit: I took my friends back here. Breton (I hope I spelled this lovely woman's name right) was an awesome server. We absolutely loved her!!!
Got sat immediately, and I walked out to one of the nicest outdoor seatings to date. Of course, we brought our little guy. The heating was warm and cozy, and our hostess was warm and friendly. Our server, she was wonderful. The food, though, omg, I was just happy looking at the menu, but the food? I needed something like this in my life, and this was literally the highlight of my day. The facility was well ran, organized, and the bathrooms were super clean, and all plating of all these scrumptious dishes washed beautiful. Did I mention their awesome happy hour menu or their curated wine list that can in the hearts of any wine connoisseur? Domain wines, too, which were impressive. We got the coconut shrimp, super crunchy, but not hard and not too sweet and had the best compliment of flavor with their sweet chili sauce. The oysters in the half shell came with a vinaigrette and cocktail sauce. Their korean fried chicken was crispy and flavorful, but not overwhelming. They also had a wonderful gochujang sauce that had depth but wasn't too salty or sweet like other places are. Balance of flavors was on point. The poke and taro chips were superb. How did I not know about this place? I've been missing out for over 10 years? No wonder why they had awards on the wall. They were well deserved. I'm coming...
