I imagine this could be the number one patisserie to visit in Lake Oswego. However, our counter server could only do one thing at a time. One order. One entry. Go get the one thing. Come back. Repeat. I ordered a cappuccino, which is an espresso with a little froth of milk on top. Mine looked like a latte. It tasted delightful, though. So I was pleased. My husband is picky about his coffee, and rightfully so. He usually orders a short Americano, which is a shot or two of espresso with only half the amount of water usually added. The server assured us of the barista 's ability and the girl even came over to question him regarding the cup size. He ended up with double the amount of water. He wasn't going to say anything, but we've learned that if you don't speak up about an error, then they can't make things right and they can end up with bad reviews. True that. The barista then had to get "permission" to redo the drink. Why? My review is a little less than 4 stars because of the counter person's lack of confidence (or ability? ) and the lack of the barista s listening skills. Don't assume you know what it means even after it's been explained. Listen to what his asked for, no matter the reference to a particular name. By the way, the pastries here are divine. We had a delicious one. They all looked great! This is worth a trip. I'm sure you'll be pleased. Just be sure to be heard and be patient. Any other day I would give this place a 5 star rating. Up to this point I have loved going here. Today though was the worst experience. Upon noticing a friend waiving outside, the owner - who was waiting on me, completely dismissed me. She asked me what I would like and I told her. But as I am telling her what I would like, she’s not paying attention and instead is waiving and communicating with her friend through the window to her friend who is standing outside. She doesn’t bother apologizing or excusing herself while she gets this young lady who is equally not interested in taking my order. I had to tell her three times as she’s shoving unwanted items in my bag and then was treated with such disregard in her tone and mannerism, as if I offended her for correcting my order. From the very beginning of the pandemic I have supported this establishment, both verbally and monetarily. My partner and I have been very particular with which places we order food from. I can literally count less than four. Customer service is such a huge part of our criteria equal to cleanliness during the pandemic. We did not receive good service and it was a real shame. If this is how their patrons are treated, I won’t be back nor...

So far, I've been to two of their Portland locations, and the Lake Oswego location is still my favorite. This location has outdoor seating, but the few times I've been there, it's too breezy or cold out. Speaking of outdoor seating, its prob'ly best for the ppl w/crutches or wheelchairs to know what they want and tell a person in their party to order it for them because its a tight fit inside, although there are a few tables that can accommodate a party of 4...definitely makes u feel like you're at a Parisian bistro. There is both street parking as well as paid and free covered, or garaged, parking, especially for the tenants around there. As for the food, my main reason for going there were the pastries and o! I wish I could remember the name of the treats I had, but as for a description, the top left was like a cream puff w a candied top--yummmmm! Can't really remember the bottom left and the bottom right was a bread pudding-type dessert w a fruit top--I think it was a pear.... or was it an apple...? Either way, I didn't eat the fruit part because that's too healthy, but I did devour the...

Staff is VERY friendly & helpful and tasty fruit tart … but I can confirm another recent review that the WiFi has no Internet connection. I just used my phone data plan. Spoke with the manager and they’re paying $$$ for an expensive Comcast business connection and Comcast told them, “you just need to change your Wi-Fi password more often.” This is total BS — on the part of Comcast — because there were only a handful of customers in the café and even if the whole neighborhood were using it… It would be a slow Internet connection, not “No Internet Connection.” (Modern commercial access points can handle many 100’s of users -— I used to work on Wi-Fi standards.) and a suggestion – KUDOS for providing a teapot and ceramic mug for dining in (!) … but the metal teapot made my tea become cold very quickly. It’s like a heat sink. I know ceramic teapots easily break & chip which is perhaps why they use metal ones, but maybe use one that’s double walled and insulated? (but then fold would probably steal them l… <sigh>)

I went back to this bakery after 2 years and was really disappointed at the food and service. I ordered a coffee and almond friand. The coffee was not strong and too diluted. I felt like I was drinking watery milk. The almond friand was stale and old. The waitress was rude and charged me for an extra espresso shot at 3.5$ instead of 1.5$ and forgot to give me my friand twice after reminders. This was one of the first places I ever came to when I came to the USA. At that time I was broke and had no money for food, but for two years I’ve been waiting to come here and the experience truly sucked. It totally wasn’t worth the wait. The only thing good about it is the location.
