Dock's — Restaurant in Lake Township

So I stopped there yesterday Friday night and I wanted my fish fried hard. I got a five piece catfish steak for 20 bucks. The steaks were the size of maybe 3 inches and they fried them hard which means they burn them same thing with the suit with the three horseshoes that they gave me, the horseshoe crispy crispy crispy hot sauce were good so I went back the following night used to doc you haven’t changed in a long time but I dealt with it because I wanted some catfish and I wanted some of that right docs flavor, but it wasn’t there the second night I watched her and no wonder the fist taste very fishy she she rung my order up and then she went behind the meat counter grabbed a handful of catfish from a bin. Who knows how long it’s been there so yesterday my catfish taste real catfish and then explain because they don’t wash or rinse your fish off after it’s been sitting in a bin for who knows how long, the girl at the counter was not rude, but she looks very very very unpresentable to be serving food or even around food and I asked her why didn’t they sell Harold or Mile? I’m sorry she told me this is not Harold. You can go to the supply store on the course store and buy as much mild sauce as you want you want. as I am talking and texting I can’t get the fishy fishy fishy fishy taste out of my mouth from them not rinsing the fish off. That’s not a docks. They don’t act like they’re rude like doc workers. The food is completely terrible. It looks like it’s been prepared by three people that look like they don’t want to be there and they don’t want or care if you have quality food now again the food is not bad but for it to be a doc on 87th St. I give it a whoop on a scale from one to 10 I give it a one when I went there Saturday night every girl there look like they haven’t even been home. You do the math I feel like throwing up if you’re going to be a doc on 87th St. you can act like you opened your own corner store on 31st St. completely pathetic as a Black people point blank. I can’t imagine them carrying on like that on a weekday during like rush-hour absolutely no professionalism one single bit I won’t ever go back there ever you are preparing and working around food. Docks “USED” to be a staple in the neighborhood. I was heartbroken to see them close. Once word got out that the establishment was reopened I was so exited. I decided to stop in and order food one evening after work. I should’ve known better. I believe a good business starts as soon as you walk in the front door. Well, I walked in and approached the counter there was a young short lady at the desk. No greetings, no warm welcome, and she never said a word, NOR even give us any eye contact. She stayed holding her head as if she was in the bottom Pits of hell. As I patiently waited for her to stop text messaging on her cell phone.I placed my order and she gave the impression that she was extremely aggravated that I was even ordering food. When I finished placing the order she didn’t even tell me the price. She stood still and displayed a nonchalant attitude like “can’t you read?”. After asking her “how much?” She responded with my total. I paid 60.00+ dollars for poor customer service. This young lady disposition ,dry tone, and lack of professionalism DEFINITELY screams volumes. I’m unsure if certain businesses even realize that great customer service ELEVATES revenue tenfold. This young lady comes off very angry and dis shuffled to be working. I will NOT be a patronage of this docks! I refuse to spend my money with anyone who allows this type behavior. Before leaving my review I took the time to read others. I noticed there are an abundance of reviews claiming poor customer service of the same young lady. Oh, I almost forgot to mention I called Docks to speak with a manager and the same young lady answered the phone stating she is the manager. If this is the case, and she IS the manager then the next phone call should go to the Alderman office. I’m so heartbroken, anguished, and disgusted at the same time. I feel like I've made multiple reviews about this store first experience was a very rude experience from the girl that works there with the braids. Every time I go she has the same horrible attitude. The second time I went girl was short blonde hair was excellent had the best customer service I've ever experienced. Third time I went another lady with short hair and glasses and a hat was pretty okay but you can tell she didn't want to be bothered cuz she was busy mopping and getting ready to close. All in all she was still respectful but it just didn't seem like customer service was her priority. The food is always amazing The cook I can tell loves what he does. I mean this dude literally has made the best fish I've ever tasted as of recent. Always fresh never overcook always golden. Crisp. And the fries be on point. The atmosphere is dope it's bright clean and newly renovated. I understand you supposed to go in these places and just get your food but I hate feeling like I'm bothering people and feeling like I have to ask people to come and ring me up because it seems like they're too busy focused on closing at 10:30 when they close at 12:00.
