We’ve been regulars at Gorditas Santiago 2 for years now, and it just keeps getting better. Hands down, the best service in Chicago, everyone is incredibly attentive, warm, and welcoming. It’s the kind of place where you feel genuinely cared for, like you’re dining at a beloved relative’s house. The restaurant is impeccably clean, seriously spotless, and it shows the pride and love they put into everything. It’s woman-run (¡qué orgullo!), and you can truly taste and feel the dedication in every dish. They welcome you with a little bowl of sopa de fideos, just like home, comforting, nostalgic, and heartwarming. And don’t even get me started on the jugo de zanahoria con naranja… it’s out of this world: fresh, natural, and energizing. Now, the star of the show, their gorditas. The guisos are rich, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Every bite is packed with homemade deliciousness, and they never disappoint. Las salsas deli deli!! We love this place with all our hearts. If you’re looking for authentic, lovingly prepared Mexican food with a side of joy and community, this is the spot. 🧡

First time here service was in point and flavors of the food delicious. We tried the gorditas asada steak, green salsa pork with the pork meat all delicious gorditas were a bit to small for me but the flavor was filling. when you ask for a burrito they are a bit different, same concept but rolled differently I had one of mole with chicken the mole flavor was very traditional delicious. We also tried at asada steak torta 5 of 5 very tasty. To drink We shared a cucumber lime water that was 5 of 5 as well the service here is exceptional they make you feel welcomed. Over all including tip was about 42 bucks but you get what you pay for I will be back!

This little hide away spot is the perfect place to enjoy the atmosphere, the culture, the food too perfection. The food is really what the Hispanic culture is about. The staff is amazing, the chef on point,l. Delicious drinks and make sure to get yourself so coffee with the empanadas. These little pastry are to die for. It took me back to the little treats my dad use to get me when I was child. 😋🥰 thank you for the experience!

My wife and I wanted to try this place because we've driven past it a few times so we finally stopped in. When we first arrived there was apparently some issue with us parking in their lot. One of the waitresses signaled to us from inside so we just parked on the street. The place looks very nice and super clean, and we were greeted as soon as we came in. The wait staff was very attentive coming to check on us every few minutes. For drinks we ordered the atole de cajeta and while for the most part is tasted good, it had a slightly weird tangy flavor. My wife also pointed out that the atole was broken, meaning that they must have made it with milk and then added water because it was curdled so we chose not to drink it. The gordita dough itself was good but I agree with other comments that the food is very bland and in need of seasoning. Between my wife and I we ordered 5 different gorditas and they were all in desperate need of seasoning, not just salt, but flavor. I wanted to like this place but when the "sazón" is no good, it's just not worth it. For 5 gorditas and 2 medium atoles it was a...

Amazing people, amazing food, service it's more than what you expect from just food service; they remember you, it's like coming back to visit old friends, that's what people had lost especially in fast food restaurant..

We used to go to number one location, the one over 63rd , for some reason location number 2 it's in kinda better location, for example their own parking lot, also I think it's bigger place. Anyway. Try it if it's your first time, if you are reading reviews for a reference, trust me, you'll not be disappointed. You'll discover real flavor, real service.

It's spicy..? Yes. It's hot.? Hell yeah...

But that's the way they cook in Santiago Papasquiaro, Durango México.

Hope more people discover this amazing flavors; and owners decide to take this to the suburbs.

And let me point this.. The music.. Oh my.. I'm from D.F. México. The late 80' and early 90' and today's music ,, on my opinion.. It's the best.. Either locations has the same taste in...
