Mariscos La Palma — Restaurant in Lake Township

It’s really hard to find a good seafood joint! La Palma was good! The flavor of the food was on point. Everyone in my party was satisfied with their dish! Just to name some of the dishes we got: camarones a la diabla, piña rellena, and the trio fajitas, they were excellent. The sauce for the camarones was fire, I mean literally my mouth was on fire but in a good way. The piña had a creamy sauce that was both savory and sweet. And the trio fajitas satisfied the need to have land and sea food!

Now, this is four stars only because the salsa needs some work. I’m all about a salsa being spicy but it also needs to be flavorful and this is where it lacked. There was also another little molcajete that had chopped purple onion, carrot, cilantro and other things that weren’t memorable. It was dry, and you ate it with a tostada.

Something unique that this restaurant offers is their giant sized cantarito which was made with a bottle of tequila of your choosing (based on their menu), sprite, fruit, lime juice, tajin, and a ton of ice. Needless to say, I was feeling it! It was...

this was singlehandedly the worst dining experience I have ever had. we had to ask three times for just our beverages that weren’t alcohol and then when we did receive our mango margaritas, they were incredibly watered down. my girlfriend is a lightweight and she is usually feeling very good after a single 16 ounce margarita, but yet she felt nothing after just one here. the food was also wildly priced for what it was. I don’t know what is wrong with the service and the restaurant itself I have been going here for a couple years now and they have been really disappointing lately. The few days I have gone, they have forgotten to give me bread in my plate that already comes with it, the waitress don’t bother to ask if anything is needed, when we call they’re attention from any of the waters they pretend to not see us. I would have really love to keep coming here because it was my favorite, but lately they have been disappointing.
