When I walked in, the wonderful aroma of coffee and fresh bread / pizza in the oven made a way into my mind. Then the eye candy, Il Capriccio is beautifully designed. The combination of colors, textured furniture and lovely art make a perfect harmony that invites one to be seated enjoy the curated selection of music , art and of course, the delicious coffee and food!
The artisan and fresh pizza romana is amazing, toasty crust and soft in the inside, combined with great quality toppings, make a really delightful bite! I personally love the Pizza Bianca.
The coffee is also made to perfection, either if you choose an espresso or an americano, so are the alfajores, I tried the guava and it didn’t disappoint, on the contrary I find myself craving it.
And on the top, very good and friendly service!
Chef Guillermo Paolisso is one of a kind. Having spent time in Italy, he brings the taste, style and vibes of Europe to Chicago. Rarely has it been done to this degree of perfection.

If you enjoy iced coffee, this one is perfect — strong, flavorful, and perfectly chilled. Honestly better than many well-known places that specialize in iced drinks. I loved it and totally recommend it.
We also tried their pizza. It kind of looks like a “fogazza,” but they call it pizza. The dough is soft and bread-like, but still light and tasty — very satisfying. The filling is just right: not too much, not too little, and very flavorful. You can tell the ingredients are high quality.
