Hello Thai — Restaurant in Lake View Township

I had an awfully long day today and I have been carefully planing out what I was going to eat after I got home from work. although I worked out my order, and placed it online, nothing could have prepared me for how good it was going to be.

I’ve been here once before and that time I got pad thai and crab rangoons which were both phenomenal, but I decided to get something different this time. This time I got pork belly fried rice and some steamed potstickers. first of all, the service is wonderful. I set my pick up order for 3pm and went in there a little before that (2:57pm) and my food was ready and hot! anytime I go in there, I’m always met with a kind smile and a cheerful greeting. then I went home, and the food is packaged so perfectly; the presentation is nice even though it’s takeout. I immediately started eating and was blown away by the flavors of everything, especially the delicious sauce paired with the potstickers and the outstanding, crunchy and crispy pork belly. if you are deciding where to eat, I cannot recommend Hello Thai enough. just all around a fantastic place and I cannot wait...

Update (05/11/2024): I've been here several times now. Their food is very good and inexpensive. What can be better? You honestly can't beat their lunch special. For $11, you get an entree, choice of appetizer, cucumber salad AND soda. You can't get Pad Thai for less than that these days. I am writing this as I am eating the Pad See Eew noodles, which comes with Chinese broccoli. A few Thai places in the neighborhood charge extra for that. I love this little restaurant and I recommend it for a Thai food fix or craving. Not to mention, the owner is quite personable and friendly. Gosh, I love their noodles!

Best Pad Thai around and one of the best hospitality and service you’ll get in the Chicago area! I discovered this spot through the classpass app (they started food reservations). I usually order out but when I took a friend for a well needed pick me up meal I was throughly surprised. The place is nice and clean. Great atmosphere. The apps come out quite promptly. I’ve had the fried chicken wings, miso soup, egg rolls, chicken pad Thai and crab Rangoon (one of the best spots ever for this).
