John’s Place is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, I felt incredibly welcomed by the friendly staff and the cozy, clean atmosphere. I ordered the John’s Scramble, and it was absolutely delicious. One of the highlights of my visit was meeting John himself, who couldn’t have been nicer. He made sure everyone who walked through the door felt like a valued guest, going out of his way to check in and make people feel at home. You can tell he truly cares about his restaurant and the people who visit. If you’re looking for great food, warm hospitality, and a place that feels like home, John’s Place is a must-visit! Can’t wait to come back.

Shout out to John letting me enjoy a meal in his place. Was able to get a table for three on Saturday night without a wait. Nice little no frills restaurant with a clean, welcoming interior. Family friendly environment for sure. Service was personable and highly attentive. Impressive variety on the menu, and I’d trust just about everything on it. The cheese curds legitimately could be the best in the city. They’re delicate, crunchy and loaded with flavor. I’m not a big ketchup guy, but their smoked chile ketchup is a home run. All in all a terrific option spot for a meal, suitable for many occasions!

It was our first meal eating outside since Covid and it was delicious! I commend the staff and the way they handled everything, cleaning and disinfecting tables between customers, keeping tables at least 6ft apart, and all wearing masks! I had the lunch peanut bowl and my wife, the John's place chopped salad with grilled salmon, everything was really great and we felt very comfortable. Look forward to returning!

We enjoyed this cute and quaint little restaurant. Not only is the atmosphere welcoming but William our server was kind and provided exceptional service. The menu wasn't entensive but still managed to provide a substantial variety of dishes. I have to give a shoutout to the cooks, they are the ones behind the scenes that go unnoticed and without praise but yet remain at the forefront of our dining experience. The food they curated was outstanding, fresh, served in generous and filling portions and the taste was great. My one year old couldn't get enough of the children's pasta and mac and cheese and as someone who eats authentic italian cuisine all the time, I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. My dad's cobb salad was huge and the grilled salmon was delicious as was my southwestern wrap. The lemon chicken avocado soup was sooooo amazing, I am going to try to look for a recipe now that holds some resemblance to this place. It was truly the best new soup I have tried in as long as I can remember. As someone in this industry for over ten years, I appreciate places like this as it seems they have become a dime a dozen. I definitely recommend this establishment and...

Homey food. Satisfying. Great family place.

They have a good variety on their menu without being overwhelming.

We started our meal with cheese curds. The burger deserves the accolade it has really tasty — the jam created a perfect contrast to the richness of the meat. We were already home and I still kept on thinking of that jam LOL.

I ordered the torta el pollo — it’s not a traditional torta they used a brioche, the chicken breast was not that dry and I liked the accoutrement. They have at least 5 different choices for the kids menu; most places will just throw one or two as an afterthought. My daughter enjoyed her mac n cheese and burger.

We ended our meal with their silly good homemade doughnuts. Not too sweet and perfectly crunchy on the outside but soft and pillowy on the inside.

I’m sure we’ll be back. Oh by the way, the owner John is one conscientious restauranteur. I appreciate the thought in their...

LIE* CHEAT* AND STEAL. I went there for lunch today. I asked about the specials, the woman with short hair told me it was SALMON. I then asked about the $5 burger/fries special...she seemed to forget(even though posted 5 times on the front window). I decided to go with the burger and fries. I even asked if fries were included, she said no and charged me $3. I also ordered a malbec and sent it back since it was rancid. I switched to pinot which tasted fine, however since she was irritated with me, she gave me less than a half glass. The whole experience sucked. The burger was less than respectful. I paid the bill, tipped $4 and asked the busboy about the special. He said he told the waitress she was wrong, but this waitress still left the $3 on the bill. I decided to not request the $3 back. Clearly this woman was that desperate for $3. I will...
