I went here last night for dinner. My friend Andrew told me about this little gem on the corner of Broadway and Montrose. They have a few tables here for dining in. It was not crowded and there was no wait. They have a number of items on the menu, I will post picture of the latest menu soon. I got the Chiles Rellenos, and it was great! last time we went to a Mexican place(Mayan Place Mexican Cuisine in Lincoln park), my friend got this chiles rellenos and i will tell you, both looked very different for each other. What I learned was chiles rellenos can be different from one place to another, basically its not like a standard hamburger. The one i got was yum! it was oily and cheesy, and it tasted delicious. included in the plate- tortillas, guac, salad, rice, and beans were great too! I felt the service was quick, our food was on our table within 5 minutes of ordering. Chips and Salsa they provided us were complimentary, and the chips was crisp and warm, looks like they fried it back in the kitchen! I would certainly recommend going to this family owned place if you are up for trying some Mexican food.

I'm glad I finally wandered in to check this place out. The guy behind the counter was super friendly and fired off our orders seemingly before we were able to place them. I got a vegetarian burrito, some chips and guac. Everything was great and I think that they made the guac right there on the spot. The burrito was giant, with the shell toasted to perfection. Good amount of beans, guac, and veggies in the burrito as well. Place is clean and cozy. I was there during the day, and with all the construction going on in the area it seems that a lot of CTA employees and other city workers are fans of the spot. Word on the street is that you can get your food here and take it next door to the Driftwood if you want some beer with your Mexican food. Highly recommended. Check it out if you are in the neighborhood.

Solid Mexican food. Eaten here a couple times now - it’s a small spot and everything is made fresh to order (including the guac) so takes awhile to prepare but worth it. The steak has good flavor but a little gristly, the chicken was surprisingly tasty and tender. Salsas had a good amount of heat and great flavor, worked well on everything. The guacamole was great. Veggie burrito was almost a little sweet, great for kids who don’t want a quesadilla. Prices and availability have been updated during the pandemic thanks to supply chain issues, still pretty reasonable in my opinion.

March 8, 2017 Not sure why I decided to try this place again. Big Mistake. I ordered a steak burrito to go. While preparing I ran across street to a store. Came back in 5min. Lady handed me a bag immediately and said $8 which was $1 more than in past but I thought changed prices..no big deal. Get home and burrito is loaded with beans and some tough meat. The writing on bag says tongue burrito extra beans no sour cream. So I call and was told I got a steak burrito that some one mistakenly wrote a note on my bag. Burrito still doesn't taste right. Checked the menu for pricing and steak burrito is with tax just under $7 and the tongue burrito with tax exactly $8. What they charged me.

Since moving to Buena Park 6 months ago, this is at the end of my block and has easily become my favorite go to place when i am not sure what i want but need to eat and don't want to cook. First this is a definite family run place with the kids and parents on site. I like to support mom and pop places when possible. And this place is easy to support with freshly made gauc and excellent steak burritos all fairly inexpensive and open late on weekends

May 30, 2016 a little frustrated by a business that fails to adhere to their posted hours of operations. Went there today about 11pm door locked 2 or 3 people eating inside but door is locked and neon open sign still lot. Hours posted on locked door indicate they are. Open until midnight Sunday thru Thursday and until 2am on Friday & Saturday. Well that used to be my late night place went down to Irving Park...

This place use to be excellent,it's still good the place is nice with a small clean seating area, the owner kids helps out sometime with taking orders and working the cash register they are around 12 or 13 years old, half of the time they sit at the table doing their homework waiting untill their parents get off work till closing time, the last time i was there was 5 months ago i order a burrito and it had chunks of hair in it,sooo i wouldn't be eating from there any more, the cooks don't wear hair net she cook with her hair hanging in a long ponytail, they don't wash their hands or wear gloves, they never have ice when you ask for water, they give you warm water from the faucet, overall the good thing about this place is the area, it's next door to driftwood bar while has a pool table, and pnc&chase bank at the corner and tattoo factory, target and another Mexican...
