Disgusting and over priced . The queso dip was dried bowl of cheese with over cooked chorizo on top instead of the melted cheese dip with meat inside of it. They served it with tortillas instead of chips The complimentary bowl of chips of table when arrive was less than half full. I asked for more and was surprised they charged me for it. Wish they had said something first and gave us a choice. Worst Mexican ever in city of chicago and I eat authentic toc Mexican on Pilsen often like the legendary Nuevo León. They charge us for the to go containers. I gave the food to my college student to give her boy friend because she thought he could tolerate the carne asada which I did not eat. Awoke in middle of night with WORST stomach pain so I just called her told her to throw food out. I spend $83 for this horrible food. I am 50. Done with experimenting with new restaurants in this desperate post Covid environment where cost is up and quality is down as some restaurants try to re-coup revenue lost during the pandemic. My intention was To go to Mas Alla de Sol on broadway but they were closed. I googled tor near by places and this place had 4.5 stars. I HAVE NO IDEA HOW. Read moreWe had lunch here today. It was not busy with diners but there was a substantial carryout business. Our server was friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, there was no one over 21 working, so the bar was closed and the desired margarita was not available to my husband. He had the three chicken enchiladas verdes dinner (with rice and beans). He devoured all of it! I had the two chicken taco dinner (also with rice and beans). The tacos were tasty but the chicken was perhaps a bit overshredded and had a slightly mushy consistency in the tacos. The green salsa on the table for chips was delicious! I devoured it with chips and also used it on my rice. The red salsa was good too but a bit too much heat for my palate. This was the first time for both of us to dine here. I will definitely be back but will likely try something else (the shrimp...
Read moreFantastic taqueria! I can confidently say it has some of the best casual Mexican food in the area. I ordered a steak burrito suizo dinner and a horchata. The steak was tender, flavorful, and moist, and the burrito overall had just the right amount of salt and moisture to make for a pleasant eating experience. The guacamole inside was a great touch, adding flavor without significantly impacting the temperature of the burrito. The rice and beans were well seasoned. If you like horchata, this place serves some of the best horchata in the area!
Service was wonderful; the server was polite and prompt, and food came out very quickly. The atmosphere was also inviting and clean.
