I showed up to this establishment to enjoy some fufu and egusi for my boyfriend’s boyfriend before our 2 hour drive home to Indiana. We went up to the woman at the register and she asked us what we wanted so we placed our order. There were many African people sitting in the establishment enjoying some beverages so we sat down at a neighboring table to wait for our food. A man approached us and asked what we wanted and we told him we were eating fufu and egusi so we were waiting to be served. He told us we couldn’t dine in, that we would have to take it to go, which is fine(regardless of being open till 3am, we were there around 10:30pm). Another couple came in shortly after the interaction and placed an order as well and sat in the table behind us to wait. They brought out their plated food and we were pretty confused. The woman who initially took our order came out with our food plated just a few minutes after the couple behind us and we were confused again. I informed her that the man in the white shirt approached us to tell us we couldn’t dine in so we were taking it to go. The reason why I’m spending the next morning writing this, is because I believe that everyone is on the same pedestal for being held accountable for discrimination. If this was an American establishment treating people of color this way, it would not be excused or overlooked. Everyone should be held to the same standard, no matter what...

NEVER EAT FROM HERE! I See why it’s empty and they needed social media promotion. This is the WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD. I order a in person meal with a lady with shaved hair, class & skin irritation in the face food ORDER. (classless, rude & nasty attitude). It wasn’t any staff in the front for pick up orders consistently waiting . After waiting and received my food the lady decides to fight with the staff too because she told her she didn’t not provide me utensils for my food. Even that staff had an attitude with the Lady. So 25min drive I get home to discover my order was wrong. I order fish & rice and only received the fish. I called and they were aggressive arguing utmost each other about who took the order! Then when the lady kept denying she didn‘t service me had the audacity to start yelling & screaming at me. Clearly she needs to be fired! I spent 11mins on the phone listen to them go back and then 5mins of the lady tell until I hung up on her rude disrespectful little drama girl.

What a waste of time!

This place is so exhausting. I’ve been going for over a decade (bcus there aren’t many other options unfortunately) and they continuously try to take advantage of their customers. They randomly try to charge more than menu prices (both on site and on UberEats), and when you call it out, half the time they frown and say they will give you “only 1 piece of meat”.

Customer service is poor as well - they will walk right past you without any greeting. Sometimes they will report that your order is ready for pick up on the app, and when you enter, it wasn’t even prepared so it’s another 10-15 min wait. Also, the dining area def isn’t inviting so I’ve never ate on site.

There are less issues when you order delivery so I often go that route to avoid the whole up-charge scam they pull in person.

It’s pretty odd that they don’t consider long-term customer retention and how it’s in their best interests to simply provide decent service as it will bring in loyal business. Really hope this review will help them get...

Figured I’d finally try out some Nigerian food. Started with the Suya, which was super dry and overcooked. Not a big fan of the spices used, definitely the worst thing I had. Next up was the egusi soup which had very little liquid. The pounded yam itself wasn’t very flavorful but was nice to soak up the melon seed and other ingredients in the egusi. The chicken and goat were both well seasoned, but the goat varied in tenderness. Finally, a side of jollof rice. So much rice, and while it was cold I couldn’t stop eating it. Very good spice level and super flavorful. Overall, I thought the food was good but was incredibly oily. You could see pools of oil in the egusi and rice. Wish they cut back a little bit since I think the flavors are good enough on their own. With that being said, I probably wouldn’t come back just due to the sheer amount of oil.

Walked into this place to get food and stood in line for 20 minutes listening to them arguing in the back, and every time the lady walked to the front I tried to get her attention to place my order and she offered me a menu I told her i know what I want then she said she has to go get a pen and notepad ,she came back without a pen/notepad constantly walking pass me so something told me to call in while I was standing inside to place my order and I did,now here she come trying to take my order then I get all the way to my room and noticed they gave me the wrong order I was so mad because I don’t eat that cow leg ish I asked for for Egusi with all fish.
