Food is great, but I sadly learned the more pale you are the better the service you get here. If you think I’m making it up, place an order for pickup if you are brown skinnned. When you get there, the owner or old guy working the front will avoid eye contact with you. When finally catch his attn, he’ll give attitude and say your order is not ready w/o checking the ready ones. 10/15min later he’ll ask your name again and say ‘oh it’s over here’ pretending like he didn’t know it was with the ones that were ready before and fake apologize. It’s happened to me and other brown folk I’ve witnessed who he told to wait for their orders even though it was sitting there already made. Such a strange thing ONLY he does, no other employees. It’s like a (odd) game for him, then while he does this, he is very giddy and nice with paler folks.

This one of my favorite local spots to grab a sandwich or beer/wine to take home. For food, I highly recommend the Chipotle Chicken or the Thanksgiving sandwich. Whether I'm working from home or grabbing a quick lunch on the weekend, one of these is always my first choice. They have a wide selection of other cold cuts and sandwiches, but I've never deviated from what I've enjoyed already. As for alcohol, the selection here is amazing. From macro to craft, they have a wide range of different beers, so no one will leave with something they don't like. They will typically have some harder to find beers shortly after release as well. So, if rarer beers are your thing, they might have that elusive bottle you've been searching for around the city.
