First the good: The interior of the place looks great. It is recently opened, and they did a great job with the interior design and build out. It also has TVs all around perfect for watching sports. The bar looked well equipped, although I only got a beer, but the liquor selection looks great, and the beer list is also excellent.
Now the not so good: The food was not good. We ordered the cheese sticks, wings, lobster roll, and a hamburger. All the food was just ok at best and downright awful for some. The fries and the cheese sticks were ok, not horrible but not remarkable. The lobster roll was pretty bad. If you are familiar with the lobster rolls in New England, this is not that. It's more like the consistency of canned tuna salad but perhaps made with lobster. I'm not sure, but it tasted pretty bad - I took one fork full and had to force myself to swallow it. The rolls themselves were hard and tasteless.
The hamburger was tasted like a frozen burger from the grocery store cooked without any seasoning. It was bland and tasteless.
This was my first visit and they are newly opened so I hope things improve. I'll go back and give them another try in a couple of weeks. I hope they've worked out the kinks with the food by then. I really hope they are successful because they are located in my neighborhood and it would be great to have another nice bar/dining...
Read moreFor what it’s worth, this is my first review of any restaurant on any platform. Top line, place has exactly zero idea what it wants to be and isn’t good at anything.
It bills itself as a cocktail lounge but in reality is an overpriced sports bar. We showed up at 7 on a Saturday and they had NCAA basketball on at full volume (including commercials) while also having paid a jazz trio to play at the same time. Instead of turning down/off the game they told the band to hold 45 minutes, which is sucks since the band probably lost money.
The drinks are expensive and an extremely light pour, and the food is nothing more than frozen hamburgers warmed up with zero embellishment. Im sure the beer is fine, but they didn’t make it.
To top it off, the bill was different than the menu prices. When asked, we were told each item is marked up 4% by their point of purchase vendor. A general google search says most credit card fees are well under 4% so I’m mot buying it. If you pay cash that fee is removed. To be fair when we questioned it they removed the 4% fee, and then some, but for food and drinks that are already overprice it’s a bit of a stretch.
We really wanted this to be a new date spot but that’s clearly not in the cards. Wish the new owners the best but they have a lot to improve on to make...
Read morePour Decisions is an absolute gem in Lincoln Park! We stopped by for their Wednesday Wing Night and trivia, and I can confidently say they have the best wings in the city. The famous fall-off-the-bone wings are perfection, and with 11 sauces to choose from, there's something for everyone.
The parm garlic is an absolute must-try—rich, buttery, and packed with flavor. The hot honey strikes the perfect balance of sweet and spicy, while the signature Pour Decisions sauce is a BBQ dream with a delightful kick. And don’t even get me started on their homemade ranch—it pairs with the wings like a match made in heaven.
The deal is unbeatable: $20 for unlimited wings or $14 for a generous single plate. My family is flying in for the holidays, and I already know my nephews are counting down to Wing Night.
Beyond the wings, the drinks are top-notch. I had one of the best mocktails I’ve had in ages—super tasty and thoughtfully crafted. The vibe of the place is fantastic, too. Their upscale bar food and upbeat trivia night make it the perfect midweek hangout.
If you haven’t been to Pour Decisions yet, you’re seriously missing out. We’ll...
