Rosati's Pizza — Restaurant in Lake View Township

I recently had the unfortunate experience of catering a birthday party with Rosati’s, and it’s safe to say it was not a pleasant experience. I opted for their Party Package 2, priced at $140, expecting a hearty Italian feast for the guests. However, what I received was far from satisfactory.

The most disappointing aspect of the catering was the Italian beef. It was advertised as juicy and flavorful, but in reality, it resembled unseasoned soup. Despite being marinated in its own juices, the beef lacked any discernible taste. It was shockingly bland, leaving me feeling like I was eating nothing at all. To make matters worse, despite being promised 3 pounds of beef, what arrived looked more like a pound and a half, drowned in broth. This meager portion was nowhere near enough to feed the 12-15 people as advertised; in fact, it barely managed to satisfy 6 guests. With no leftovers to salvage the situation, I was forced to scramble and cater from elsewhere at the last minute, turning what should have been a joyous celebration into a stressful and embarrassing ordeal.

While the other items provided were passable, the disappointing quality and quantity of the main dish overshadowed any positives. It's unacceptable for a catering service to promise a certain quantity and quality of food and fail to deliver on both counts. My experience with Rosati’s catering left a sour taste in my mouth, both literally and figuratively.

I have been to this location twice. I can say the first time it was great the food was great and fresh. The young man was nice and kind at the register. Today I went and it was a young lady at the front. She had an attitude and didn’t even greet me when I said hello. She answered the phone while I was in line without saying I’ll be with u in a moment. Once she hung up I proceeded to order but the phone rang again and she answered again while I was in the middle of ordering. Once I finally did order I asked how long for fresh pepperoni pizza. She stated 5 mins, I said I’ll wait. She proceeded to take an old piece of cheese pizza to the back and put pepperoni on top of the old slice… After I handed her my money she proceeded to sit my change on the counter instead of handing it to me. I'm here to be a witness of how awesome this place is!!! I made a mistake and ordered from this store when it should have been a different store. Well it was a blessing in disguise. I called to see if I could get the order canceled but was told they couldn't do so. However after I explained my story (hard time traveling so far to pick up) not only did they let me keep the food but gave me a full refund. The owner called me personally to talk it over with me. He didn't have to do that and I know most people wouldn't have believed me. This may be small to some but to me it was a huge and much needed blessing. I was having a really rough day and he turned it around. Plus the food was excellent!!! My kids and I enjoyed it very much! I have to make a trip to come sit down and eat in the restaurant. Forever...
