My friend and I always go to this location before class because it’s so close, as we are DePaul students. The baristas at this location can be very friendly, but they usually make our drinks wrong. Today I asked for a tall nitro in a grande cut with ice and they just put it in a grande cup. My friend received her vanilla sweet cream cold brew with no sweet cream and then told the barista that there was no sweet cream and he apologized and proceeded to make cold foam and put it on top. By then we couldn’t wait there any longer to have it remade again because we were going to be late for class, and she left very unhappy. The last time we went she asked for a white mocha with almond milk, and they used 2% and it made her sick. As a partner at another location it’s extremely frustrating to have your drinks made wrong, on...
Read moreThis place used to be a lovely neighborhood branch, and now it turned into a corporate cold pick up bar for Starbucks to make money without adding anything to sit there or to community atmosphere. It is Starbucks turned corporate at its worst. This is not the brand I know and this is really ugly. It looks like a coffee bar in a bank building, not a family neighborhood! We are supposed to leave our money and leave quickly - no flair, no people hanging around - nothing. It is such a waste of space. Whoever decided it, does not know this neighborhood and what Starbucks stands for: more than just making money as efficiently as possible! I hope the situation can be reversed. We are all frustrated in the neighborhood. I will switch to local coffee places here = this is too...

Instead of being warmly greeted at this renovated location, I was made to feel as though I was an inconvenience for not placing a mobile order. I felt as if I was done a favor for actually ordering in the store and made to feel inferior to someone who orders using the app. How silly of me to think that I can get decent service walking in—and then to be prompted with a tip screen as is now the norm at Starbucks! This used to be such a cute neighborhood location, and now it’s a cold rude money-making operation. I always heard Starbucks was supposed to be people’s “3rd place”; however, this one feels like it’d be my 20th or worse. Very...
