Original review:My favorite. Calm, not too sweet, refreshing and welcoming environment!
Edit: Unfortunately they removed loose leaf teas from the menu (except the mango tea). Most staff refuse to customize drinks (except a select few people). I used to drink their rose green tea and their jasmine tea, and I was a regular (2-3 times a week sometimes more). Now I go significantly less frequently because I am not a big fan of milk teas most days.. Also most the staff seem slightly irritated if I try to ask for my old order (rose green tea with boba). I ordered that reliably for over two years with fantastic staff, since they made the changes the staff are less friendly, you have less options for flexibility and customizing your drink, and I enjoy the drink options less. Also a long time regular customer, I have significant challenged redeeming the points I am supposed to be getting each time I enter my phone number and buy a drink. It’s too bad because for the last two years this was one of my favorite places in Chicago (and I was a super regular customer) until they made those changes to staff and...
Read moreI'm honestly so happy to see another Te'Amo location opening in Lakeview since I was used to having to go to the Diversey location for my boba fix. This location has the same amount of tea options with great drink combinations as the Diversey location, but they also have espresso drinks so I ordered the strawberry coffee latte and added boba. The boba texture was soft but chewy as usual, they consistently get the texture just right at all the locations I've tried. The strawberry and espresso was a surprisingly good combination. It was not overwhelmingly sweet and the espresso was smooth and not bitter. If you need a serious caffeine fix I would opt for a true coffee shop in the area instead but for a weekend treat it really hit the spot. I am curious to try the blue sky coffee latte next, which is made from butterfly pea flower tea. Very excited to have Te'Amo in...
Read moreIn short, go here! You’ll be so happy that you did. How can you accurately describe the experience of a boba dessert bar filling a gap that you didn’t know existed in your life? I think the closest thing would be ultimate happiness because wow, am I happy. The staff here are INCREDIBLE! They’re so incredibly kind, they told every person that walked in what flavors of mochi donuts they had remaining. They also told me that all their drinks can be found on the ordering tablet. The aesthetic is adorable and really fits the theme. I sadly didn’t get boba (yet) but I will return (probably tomorrow). Anyways, I love tiramisu and decided to get a crepe tiramisu cake. And it was delicious - I almost didn’t want to say what I got because I am worried they’ll run out before I can get another one. I will be back and I will be trying everything...
