As a devoted crepe lover and newfound enthusiast of vanilla lattes, my quest for the perfect combination led me to The Crepe Shop, a place that had been on my radar for quite some time. Today, as I finally made my way there, I was met with an experience that exceeded all expectations.

Upon entering, I was immediately transported to Europe. The ambiance of The Crepe Shop is nothing short of amazing—warm, fresh, welcoming, and bright. The decor, with its natural elements, created the perfect setting for a delightful Crepe and Vanilla Latte adventure. It wasn't just a cafe; it was an escape, and my mood was instantly lifted.

My instincts were right; this place promised fantastic crepes. Opting for a crepe with a very light layer of Nutella and fresh strawberries, accompanied by a Vanilla Latte, I eagerly placed my order. As I waited, I took in the charming surroundings, appreciating the abundance of plants that added to the shop's overall appeal.

The moment my order arrived, my senses were treated to a n amazing delight. The crepe was a masterpiece—perfectly cooked, delicately sweet, and impressively thin. It was evident that the chefs had paid attention to my customization requests, resulting in a flawless epicurean creation. BRAVO, indeed!

One noteworthy aspect of The Crepe Shop is its No Screen Policy, discouraging the use of laptops or iPads. In a world where screens dominate every aspect of our lives, this policy provided a refreshing break, allowing patrons to immerse themselves fully in the experience and ambiance of the shop.

Having been born and raised in Germany, I felt a nostalgic connection, as if I had stumbled upon a hidden gem in Europe. Surprisingly, the Instagram crowd was absent during my visit, which is a testament to the authenticity and charm of this place. It's a haven for those seeking not only delectable treats but also a unique and aesthetically pleasing atmosphere.

The only drawback for me was the distance from West Town to Lakeview, particularly in the bustling Chicago traffic. I find myself already planning my next trip to The Crepe Shop, eagerly anticipating the exquisite crepes and the European ambiance that awaits. If only there were a location closer to my home, as this hidden gem is undoubtedly...

I am a fan of Crepes, so I have been on the search for them all over Chicago. I was so hungry and had just visited a costumer in the area and needed a place to work on my laptop while taking a lunch. I googled the nearest Crepe spots in the area and this one caught my eye. I walked in, paid for my food, sat in a table, pulled out my laptop, and a manager approaches me and tells me they do not allow laptops due to the young teenagers who hog a table with their laptops, buy a coffee, and hang around which makes them lose business. Seriously?? Are we that desperate? These kids come from parents that could also give you more business and this was a sign of disrespect towards business/sales costumer that could bring you more business/refer business to you. They understood my craving tried doing the right thing by offering me to take the Crepe, so I will do the right thing and say that it was a good Crepe. I just wish I could've kept going back and refer more people your way.

Yesterday, I was around trying to find a place to treat my costumer some breakfast, but we had laptops. At least set a time limit before you make people feel uncomfortable about a situation like this. A bad experience like this from someone who worked in the industry years ago...
