OMG! This restaurant find was a score! As a Lakeview resident the Mexican restaurants in the area lack authenticity and flavor. The opposite can be said about Taqueria Tejupilco the food is absolutely delicious and the fact they use El Milagro products makes it even tastier. My sister and I had lunch there and everything was absolutely delicious including their natural aguas. I had the mini carne asada burrito with the side of rice and beans and an horchata as my beverage. The ingredients were so fresh and seasoned to perfection. The horchata was dreamy and smooth. My sister had the carne asada tacos with rice and beans on the side and she loved the tacos as well. She said her Agua fresca de Jamaica was delicious . We also ordered Pico de Gallo and chips and that was delicious as well. The chips were crispy and perfectly salted and the Pico was so good we brought the leftovers home 😆. 10/10 will definitely be dining in or doordashing as I marked it as a favorite on there after having eaten there. Definitely recommend, Mexican food at it's freshest and...
Read moreI've lived in the area a few years, and this place is by far my favorite taqueria in the area. It seems family owned, and the staff are very nice. I've been there almost weekly since it's opened, and gotten a wide variety of the food, all of it has been fantastic. The carne asada and al pastor are my go tos, but the chile relleno and lengua are delicious as well (any form is good lol, tacos, tortas, burritos, tamales. Can't go wrong). Guacamole is super fresh, definitely made in house. The aguas frescas are super good, I'm loyal to the jamaica and it doesn't disappoint, ever. And the price is really hard to beat. Nothing fancy, but I'd put it up against most places I've had...
Read moreTaqueria Tejupilco is a small spot offering authentic Mexican food at very reasonable prices. The value matches what you pay—flavors are solid, though quality can vary depending on what you order. The guacamole was fresh and flavorful, and the vegetarian taco was a pleasant surprise with good balance. The burrito was savory, but unfortunately the meat was low-quality and slightly burnt, which took away from the overall experience. While this isn’t the place for premium cuts or upscale dining, it’s a reliable choice if you’re looking for a quick, affordable meal with authentic touches. Given the fair pricing and consistency in some dishes, it...
