Though I have always hated coffee, I figured I should at least try theirs since it is their brand. As a coffee hater, I was surprised I actually liked the Honey Lavender Latte. I expected to get it and not drink it, but I finished the whole thing.

I was more there for the food, but did not have the time to dine in. I decided to just be late and order the crab benedict on yucca bread. It took so much longer than expected, typically cafe food is out in a flash since it is mostly premade. I was floored when my dish finally arrived and in both presentation and taste, I thought I was at a high end eatery. It clear it was made with extreme care and skill. I posted a picture because I was flabbergasted.

The ambience is absolutely killer with the flooding of natural light, soft music and trendy, modern style. Not a cafe goer myself, but would recommend to anyone who enjoys this.

Lastly Cesar was extremely helpful and attentive. This might change as they get busier, but if he has the time he goes in depth about the options and their origins, and will engage in friendly conversation.

I can't wait to come back and try their...

I visited for brunch on a Saturday morning with a friend, and from the moment I walked in, I knew we were in for something special. The service alone deserves five stars. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming.

One of the biggest draws for us was that The Lanzaga is BYOB, and they handle it with such class. We brought a bottle of sparkling wine, and the staff immediately took care of everything, including opening it, setting it in an ice bucket, and serving it in real champagne flutes. It elevated the whole experience and showed how thoughtful their service is.

The food is absolutely exceptional. I ordered the biscuits and gravy with chorizo and scrambled eggs, and I can confidently say it might be the best version I’ve had anywhere in Chicago.

The atmosphere at The Lanzaga is another plus, being warm, welcoming, and pleasantly quiet, making it an ideal spot for catching up with a friend or enjoying a relaxed meal.

Overall, The Lanzaga checks every box: incredible food, top-notch service, and an inviting atmosphere. I’d recommend it without hesitation to anyone looking for a hidden gem brunch...

Went to The Lanzaga for dinner last night, and unfortunately, it was a bit of a mixed experience. The restaurant was quiet, with only two other tables occupied, so we got attentive service from a nice waiter.

We both ordered the skirt steak, which was very tender but lacked seasoning—definitely could have used more flavor. They were out of yams, which was disappointing since I’d been looking forward to trying them. Instead, we had the fried yuca and sweet plantains, which were tasty, and the ranch dipping sauce for the yuca was a nice touch.

The biggest downside was the price. The bill came to near $100 for two people, which seemed high, especially considering the lack of seasoning on the main course. The coffee, however, was excellent; maybe they shine more as a breakfast spot. I might come back for breakfast someday if they’re still around, but with several similar places offering better prices, I probably wouldn’t...

Love this new Gem of a restaurant! We went for dinner and everyone ordered something different and I still cannot pick a favorite! We started with the ceviche with tostones and a pork empanada (drool)! The ceviche transported me back to Belize! For dinner I ordered the pork with squash and zucchini, omg so tender and the flavors just melted in your mouth! We also had the skirt steak that is marinated in their homemade chimichurri that is to die for. The coffee rubbed chicken so so tender and juicy, and the stuffed pepper was so delicious! Save room for dessert!!!! We tried 4 of them! Passion fruit cheesecake’s flavor profile was exactly what we needed! The bread pudding took me back to childhood, their flan was incredible, and their chocolate moose was the fan favorite! It is BYOB for now! Cannot wait to try their breakfast/brunch menu! The brisket bagel is calling my name!

Checks all the boxes i need for a good breakfast Toilets super clean Interiors warm spacious chic Staff - efficient friendly Location - great Price - reasonable On a rainy Tuesday morning found this place 3 block away from my hotel. Uber took a while to get here. And im so glad i tried this place out. Inspired by south American cuisine is their motto. Its an art gallery cum central perk ( friends) cum chic cafe that has a vast menu of south American delicacies and coffee. This was one of the best coffees I've had while in Chicago. An Indonesian roast blend. The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly about the menu. What i loved is the portion size and taste Total value for money. It was perfect to watch the rains and have a wholesome breakfast Will surely recommend this place to everyone especially tourists who need good WiFi, clean toilets and great food !
