Tulip's Tea on Tuesday — Restaurant in Lake View Township

Tulips Tea on Tuesday is an amazing place. My GSA group went to Center on Halstead as a last day fun field trip and we decided to go get boba afterwards. The food is absolutely amazing! I got the Carmel milk boba and I absolutely loved it. The only thing about the food that I would add is that there isn't Taro boba which is my favorite. About the service. It is amazing. When my GSA group came we were all about to take one last selfie but it was hard to get everyone in. We didn't even ask for help and (I think) the owner offered to take the picture for us, it turned out great. She was very nice and welcomed all of us each as we walked in and she talked to us which made us feel happy. About the Atmosphere. It is a very cute place, it has plushies, appealing decor, and a cozy seating area. I can't fully say if the place was small or not because we only went in one section of it, I could clearly see another part but I couldn't see how big it was. I've been waiting for this place to open since last year. Simply put, it's worth the wait. Tulip is not only the sweetest and friendliest owner, but the food and drinks are amazing. It's a bit pricier than some places, but it's because the quality of her drinks is top tier. Super fresh ingredients, hand-mixed and made. It's also very customizable with many milk alternatives, caffeine free options, and ways to swap toppings.

Tulip also loves to chat and get to know her customers. She will help customize your drinks if you are new to some more traditional asian flavors (yuzu, ube, sesame). She also is super open to feedback and will make adjustments to your drinks if you bring up preferences (She helped lower the sugar content in my Ube Latte because I didn't like overly sweet things).

First time checking this place out and was skeptical about the 5 star rating. However after trying it out I can confirm the 5 star rating is accurate and very well earned. The staff are super friendly, nice and accommodating. The drinks are delicious. They’ve really put effort into their recipes. The whole place, while small is decorated very nice. The to-go boba carriers are super cute and unique. When I asked about the knit tulips that I noticed in other reviews they let me know that they only gave those away during the grand opening and they were all handmade (talk about dedication) but they might do another wave of them.
