Unbelievably horrible service! I placed an order on the Wendy's app and selected drive thru pickup. My instructions were to pull up to the speaker and let them know I was there to pick up. This wasn't my first time picking up through the drive thru so I pulled up and told the lady I was there to pick up my mobile order. The lady mumbled something to me that I didn't understand but I figured she heard what I was there for so I pulled forward. As I arrived to the window she looked extremely upset as I repeated what I was there for showing her my app on my phone with my order confirmation. She gave me a disgusted look and said I told you to come inside to verify. I was extremely confused! I wondered what I did to make her so upset and why I had to go inside to verify? I asked her why? I again showed her my order on my app and explained it was payed for and I was on my lunch. She again said come inside its store policy. By this time I said no give me my order that I paid for already. She again repeated come inside! By then I was extremely frustrated and told her you either give me my food or get the supervisor manager. She closed the window on me and walked away. A minute later a young man comes to the window and says you need to come inside to pickup and get verified it's store policy. I then said no I want my money back I don't have time for this he then said get the refund through your app closed the window and walked away. I couldn't believe how unprofessional he was he didn't even introduce himself! I then waited for her to come back as she opened the window she said you need to move and I said no you need to give me my money back you already ruined my lunch. She said get it through your app I said I don't know how and your not going to leave me to figure it out either if you can't show me how get someone who can. She again told me to move and I repeated give me my money back because the app isn't giving me the option to cancel my order anymore. By this time another gentleman walks up to the window asks me my name that I verified and hands me my bag of food. The lady looks at him as if he committed a crime and tells him no she's supposed to come inside by then I was already pulling off with my food. Unbelievable, is all I have to say! This...
Read moreUpdate: Perspective of a delivery driver. I've had 2 bad experiences. My first one was that they don't pack there drinks at all. They just hand you the drink. As some one that delivers on a bike, this is bad. I had to ask for a drink holder, and even then the drink started leaking and the cardboard gave it and destroyed the person's order and leaking everywhere inside my bag. They need to tape lid, bag it, wrap it, or something. Everywhere else takes care of there delivery drivers and neatly packs there drinks so it don't spill. My bad experience 2 is trying to go through the drive through. THEY TAKE FOREVER, I was waiting in the drive through for 45 MINUTES. Every time a car got up to the window, it took them 10-15 minutes per vehicle. That's not acceptable. I don't understand what they were doing that took them so long to take care of some one that's been waiting in line for 30 minutes. The food should be done by then. When I picked up my order there were at least 10 bags waiting to be picked up in the background. This place is so unorganized... And I can't lower my rating any lower.
I haven't been to any Wendy's that has been THIS BAD. The food is poor quality, like it was slapped together without care. They seemed extremely disorganized and it took forever for them to get my order. I even ordered online once and I waited more than 2 hours and never got my order. The manager there has a really bad attitude. Like you would bring up an issue and it's suddenly your fault. I asked for extra sauce once and she snatched it out of my hand and decided to charge me extra for it at 50 cents a piece! I've been to many other Wendy's and they've NEVER charged me extra and been this rude to me. The floors are ALWAYS sticky and the bathrooms are disgusting. A dirty bathroom is a clear sign that the managers don't care, and that they're running there restaurant into the ground. I will never come back to eat at this...
Read moreLike many fast food chains, they are putting in self-service kiosks. I am not opposed to the use of technology to increase efficiency, but it doesn't feel well implemented at this particular location.
Firstly, the 2 kiosks aren't well positioned, to allow foot traffic to flow. It may have been that some furniture got moved around, but the side of one was less than 18 inches from the back of a dining chairs, such that a left handed individual using the touchscreen in a normal manner potentially be bumping a separate diner in the back of the head with their elbow.
Secondly, the 2 kiosks available are positioned less than 2 feet apart and side by side, not back to front, which would maximize spatial efficiency. This will cause a right hander using the left screen, and a left handed at the right one, to again be uncomfortably close, if not actually bumping each other.
Third, the kiosk wouldn't respond to my finger. WTH! This can be caused by a number of reasons, the most likely of which is the screen being dirty, not cleaned often enough, or sufficiently to remove the build up of hundreds of different hands, in varying levels of sanitation, having actually touched the touchscreen.
Following these issues with the automated ordering process, I approached the normal cashier's station, only to be met by mildly confused glances from the staff behind the counter -- silently, but undeniably, passive-aggressively pleading me to just use the touchscreen.
This response led me to believe that maybe, at this particular time, or possibly as a new status quo -- there is no...
